Damn, I would've really loved it if the opener was 13 Beaches - the album would've started with the sea and ended with the sea.

today I was talking to my supervisor about Lana (and he said he's willing to listen to her and interested yaaay!!!) and when I described how people first doubted her authenticity he was like "That sounds like something you'd hear in Fallout 4. Did people think she was a synth?" and I

Anyway, I have him listening to Lust for Life now lol

I feel they're recreating this iconic Monica Bellucci scene for the cover

Listening to lfl (the title track), and thinking about how she added the shangri las background vocals last minute bc she felt the song was missing something. Im so glad she thought of that because its one of the best things on the song. I know most of you dont like the song, but imagine it without that added element...it would be pretty fucking dull

Lana said that most of the beats in her album were done by her sound engineers, so yeah

The funny thing is that in In My Feelings Lana sings "could it be that I fell for another loser" & today GEasy released a song called 'Love a Loser'. What a coincidence!

Okay i just listened to Lust for Life again and... wow. It has so much variety, it has bops, ballads, country ballads, collabs, rap. It's actually so good tbh. AKA, Born to Die and Lust for Life have the best album closers ever :flutter:

It was beautiful, ethereal even. The cover had beigish and sea green undertones, the tracklist was full and lush, it was on itunes in all its clickable glory, no more waiting, no more pain and agony just pure unadulterated NFR

We need to use meditation to bring NFR closer, picture yourself physically removing all of the obstacles in the way of the album. Repeat to yourself this mantra: the album will come... THE ALBUM WILL COME

wayament sis...that dont make no sense..my man

have y'all suddenly forgotten Lana is an album-centered artist and that's where most of her draw comes from?? the songs themselves on a chart might've flopped but that's quite literally the furthest objective anyone on her team was looking for when releasing the songs..we discussed this back when VB came out when she said that it was almost like a cruel joke on her team to be releasing a nine minute guitar ballad that morphs into some psychedelic shit with a curse word in the title; she knew it was everything a "lead" single SHOULDN'T be and even her managers were antsy about it

Lana is more of a long-term burn type of artist, her albums sell great and people look to those for her music rather than her singles like somebody would Selena Gomez or J. Lo; not to mention critically, Venice Bitch blew everybody out of the fucking water. it's no doubt that it's her best received song since Video Games..7 years into her career and she was hitting the same peaks, if not higher on such a anti-song to be randomly released. 20mil+ streams is great for such awkward songs, especially when two of them are something most listeners wouldn't want to play on repeat. (and with 0 promo...whatsoever, at least Love and LfL had big budget MVs and IRL advertisements). i hate giving whole ass paragraphs on here talking about actual subjects but some of u bitches...

She didn't flop, she actually did really great with zero promotion for MAC, VB and Hope. Who can get 25M streams on a pure piano ballad that lasts more than 5 minutes without any promotion? Not a lot of artists. She never was streamed much and she's not flopping at all. A flop would be if she was as famous and popular as Ariana Grande and only got this amount of streams. But since she's not and she never took advantage of the streams, she's doing pretty great. I understand that when you think Lana Del Rey, you think big. But she never was that big. She just left a big impact on music and is praised.

Me watching how the US, the UK and France always get Lana exclusive content and events whereas the rest of countries don't get anything

I had the craziest dream (after finally falling asleep at 3am last night) of the video for Groupie Love. This isn't my exact dream (obviously), but this is how I picture it as inspired by the dream.

It started with Lana sitting alone in her bedroom, decked out in posters and memorabilia of a famous rock star (it was Rocky, but he was dressed like an 80s rockstar. Sue me), with her watching Rocky on a big screen. Slowly, the scene panned out and the room seemed to be turning. It turns out that Lana's little bedroom was actually in a small spaceship casually flying through space.

It then went to Lana sitting in a crowd in the very front, but wearing this

Then the image of Rocky performing on stage shifted to one of Lana and her backup dancers on the same stage. Leading to the chorus, it panned upwards into space and to Lana and Rocky in glittery outfits floating in space and holding hands.

The next part was Lana and Rocky sitting on an (obvious) space station in a not-so-teenaged girl bedroom with everything in slow motion and at low gravity with them both dancing and popping a bottle of champagne that sparkled like a galaxy, then shifting to Lana standing over Rocky pouring him a drink.

Then it's just Lana standing at a large window staring down at Earth, with her face being serious and somewhat solemn. Then Rocky came over and put his arm around her and she turned to him and said into his chest "Isn't life wonderful?", then it showed a shot of them both standing against the window that showed a view of space/earth.

Then, during "every time we hook up, I know what you're thinking of" it shows Lana leaning into Rocky while they both have their arms around each other, then touching heads and the screen BURSTS into a scene of them alternating between driving through space and running around a giant model of the galaxy that sparkled during the chorus. Basically, alternating scenes in this instance until the end...

where you hear an alarm ringing in darkness and Lana wakes up and hits it and she's back in her usual bedroom, with the window showing an ordinary LA morning.

Yeah you can't help but think that he must be sketchy in some way, given her track record.

Really though, G-Eazy was the bottom of the barrel, so she can only improve.

    The comments on Charlie's video:

    97% where's NFR
1% Lana ILY reply to my message or I'll kms <-- far worse than "where's NFR" imo
    1% talented family
1% did you date Moby y/n

Might be ... as I said that photog's shit is very industrial and her hair looks styled, etc.

I bet she takes Chase on tour to Europe next month. That's probably why she allowed herself to be photographed with him. She always has to take a boy toy with her when she travels.
