I finished the whole season and you were right, a lot of things were cleared up and I'm actually very happy with the writers' choices. The storyline was great, the finale was very strong! I like Stella a lot more now, too. Super excited to see what they'll do in season 2.

Right!? I agree 100%! Actions truly speak louder than words sometimes. Of course, it's great to be vocal about your beliefs! But it felt so weird and performative. Again, I agree. However, I did like their friendship much more in the second half of the season! That's so true! I remember Mizi and yes, Bloom dealt so much better with it. I really miss her positivity and how easy going she actually is.

I'm done with episode 3 now. There's a lot of things that I like, even though the series is so very different from the original Winx Club. But there are also many things that I dislike. Some first thoughts: The writing is really off sometimes. There's so many weird scenes! And I can't even tell you how hard I cringed when they said the word "mansplain" twice in the first episode for no reason... what was that about? Whitewashing!!! But we knew that already. I still have hope that they'll bring Flora back for season 2. When Terra shares her insecurities, the others ignore it and don't try to lift her up. Why is Stella such a bitch? I mean, yes, she's self-centered but she also always cares about her friends? Also, her outfits are sooo boring. Stella and Sky?? Ugh. Where is Brandon? I love Beatrix, would've loved to see a trio of witches tho. I like Bloom, but she also seems a little off, angry for no reason other than "I'm a fire fairy, that's why!" And... WHERE ARE THE F*CKING WINGS? You "evolved"? Ok, then why did you call the series Winx?

Hi hi hi! I'm so excited! I grew up with the TV show and comic books. I love the Winx Club so much! I'm watching the pilot right now and I'm gonna binge watch the rest this weekend, however I'm a little sceptical. I agree with most of what is said in this video below and I would hate for this to turn out to be a dark, Riverdale-esque kind of reboot. I hope they prove me wrong but the trailer wasn't cute. I really miss Flora and Tecna already.

thank you for pointing this out. my first thought when she said her family was struggling when she grew up was "uhm no you didn't struggle!?!" but then i realised that i can't possibly know everything about lana's life. even though we love being detectives and finding it "all" out - we will never get the full picture. now, i know that lana is a special case because we caught her lying before, even about little things like her birth year, and that's why we no longer fully trust her (not only when it comes to release dates lol). we've learned to take everything she shares with us with a grain of salt. we do have a lot of information about her life before becoming famous. however, hearing her talk about it in a way that doesn't fit the narrative that we consider true doesn't give us the right to say she's lying per se tho.

All I really want to say is I do trust her good intentions. But having good intentions doesn’t mean you don’t need a PR team because this is an actual nightmare. I totally get that she’s defending herself, but that’s because I’ve been a fan since 2012 and went through all the negative headlines with her. She needs to shush. I love her. But she needs to self-reflect. She needs to listen to people who aren’t telling her that everything she says is fine just because she says it with good intentions. Having good intentions just isn’t enough.

NFR! doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. I love this album and Jack's production. There are so many great songs and FIILY has become one of my absolute favourites. After listening to Lust for Life on repeat the year it was released, I have barely played it again.

i agree that she shouldn't do any more interviews for a while, especially not rogan. she used to be so interesting to listen to and i always loved the way she spoke, the words she used. annie didn't even ask the hard questions - she'd absolutely go down if rogan interviewed her lol. i mean, he did interview miley and other musicians... but lana is an incoherent mess right now, i doubt he'd find her point of view interesting at the moment.

sooo i listened to this live yesterday and slept on it, but my opinion stays the same: this interview needs to be BURIED and never talked about again lol. what a mess, she kept rambling and had such a chaotic energy, which i usually love and find cute but it didn't fit the topics that she talked about. i guess she really meant it when she put that quote in her bio: my least favourite part was when she talked about racism and kept laughing... white privilege. honestly though, it feels like something's off and i hope she's okay. i wonder how much longer she'll be able to keep ignoring the fact that she needs an actual PR team. i love and appreciate that she wants to be authentic and share her raw thoughts with us but at the same time, she might be slowly killing her career and i'm gonna lose a lot of respect for her. i just can't make up excuses for some of the stuff she says, she just sounds so ignorant and tone deaf, it's sickening. i mean, how was she not prepared for annie's questions? she sounded so out of touch. on another note, she didn't seem that excited about sharing her new record with us. it might be the (deserved) criticism that she's currently facing. whatever the reason may be, she sounded like she is creatively blocked, as she mentioned she's not really working on a new album which she usually does. i'm expecting a long break after chemtrails, which i'm actually okay with! i hope she takes the time she needs to find herself creatively again. "white dress" sounds like the most interesting song so far! i hope we get to see the video and this won't be a "cherry" situation. i want to add one more thing about her being on meds and i think it's a very sensitive topic, which is why i'll put it in a spoiler:

ahhh right, i understand, i had forgotten that she made the twitter thread after lana had already tagged her. i totally see how that can come off as being ungrateful, especially because googling the phrase "never forgive, always forget" (which a lot of lana's fans naturally did) has her work and her shop as the top google image result and she must have noticed that people had found her instagram and shop even before lana tagged her. but i must say, without being an artist myself, i get the need for discussing the right way of giving credit. it's their profession after all. basically, all i really care about in this whole mess is a more balanced view and to not degrade her art in the process of criticizing the way she handled things. we don't know her true intentions and it might have been just to go viral, yes, but as @Bunny Mozart already mentioned i can totally understand the frustration artists feel when it comes to these things. she probably did post that twitter thread with a little bit of anger and honestly, i get it, i've sent some angry messages when i should've waited a little longer in the past too. anyways, that's all i really wanted to add to the discussion
