This was originally a bonus track on Royksopp's album Junior back in 2009. They're currently doing a "lost tapes" project where they're bringing all their bonus tracks and rarities together on streaming platforms.

The new song is great, it's different enough to the first album without being too much of a departure. The video is excellent too.

This album is so good. My first listen was disturbed by my brother, so I'm excited to listen again uninterrupted, haha. On that initial listen my favourites were the singles/pre-singles, Happiness Is A Butterfly, California and I'm surprised how much I like The Next Best American Record after being worried about the lyrical changes. Definitely worth the wait!

Totally agree with you! It's such a weird composition, and means Duke (I think that's his name, haha) is the focal point, rather than Lana on the CD itself. They should've used a different picture or just the blue paint strokes or something.

I've also seen people listing them for upwards of £65+ on eBay and it makes me sad for the fans who want them. The snippets sounds incredible! Aside from the singles, I think Cinnamon Girl and Happiness Is A Butterfly are my favourites based on this and what we've heard over the past year. It sounds like The Next Best American Record's lyrics are going to be changed quite a bit. I expected the perspective would change from "you" to "we" based on the Apple Music description, but didn't expect any other major changes. It's a shame because lyrics like "Topanga's hot tonight" and "I just want to party with you" are so uninspired and typical compared to the original. It feels like she's trolling us.

The new single is really different to his others, it's a bit like the old pop-punk trend of the early 2000s but softer.
