  1. American title, but with Western ideals/topics. Got it. đź‘Ť
  2. But it has really an American thing? I'm not criticizing the album in itself, but I always fail to understand how people make this album to be some America-centric commentary. To me that's just modern day topics/struggles but in the context of her Cali experience.
  3. A lot of fans romanticize the idea of NFR being this deep social commentary about the modern American society, as if most songs aren't mostly like ''I miss x, y and z''. The only thing truly ''Americana'' about this album is the title itself, a direct reference to the epitome of Americana, Norman Rockwell himself--but the album has actually very little to do with him. This album is mostly about cali vibes and longing/missing a less than perfect relationship, or criticizing your lover, partner, hook up, ex.
  4. I honestly love this new format, I live for the theatrics, but I felt like the dancers were doing a little much during Video Games. It was kinda camp.
  5. Most festivals have to oblige to city's rules/laws, like they usually have to stop "making noise" past a certain time. For instance, the Coachella festival has to stop activities past a certain hour, otherwise they get fined for every extra minute (for which they usually do get fined)--in MITA's case, Lana pretty much said they would cut the power if she went on. đź’€
  6. I think we witnessed HERstory. It was the first edition of this new set/show, and it might need some adjustments here and there, but this is a pretty important and noticeable departure from her previous format. I loved the theatrics and how she now has actual back singers on stage as opposed to that loud backtrack. The setlist was good, although some songs are long overdue for retirement, and singing like 1 minute of A&W and NFR was a choice—overall it wasn't that bad song-wise. I get that it's a festival and time is an issue, but it kinda felt too condensed at times. I hope she keeps up with that energy, she really looked like she enjoyed herself and, dare I say, she never looked this comfortable on stage.
  7. Am I the only one that felt like the intro read like James Bond Austin Powers??
  8. It's not farfetched to say that she's finally entered her performer era. Her stage presence and production were unlike anything we've witnessed before.
  9. Does she have other scheduled live streamed shows coming up?
  10. So this setlist wasn't as bad as I anticipated, but I wish she performed A&W, NFR and Venice Bitch in full instead of these awkward interludes. Obviously time was an issue here, but she can always retire Summertime Sadness and/or Blue Jeans if she's short on time.
  11. Her not coming down to meet fans as she usually does feels a little off—
  12. I don't think she's ever looked this happy and comfortable on stage, these next couple of shows are gonna be iconique
  13. her not releasing a full fledged Taco Truck song is a crime against music
  14. Omg Candy Necklace already hitting different—
