  1. I think Kevin has the credentials to do of all of that on his own, no help required
  2. Lana Impala is long overdue honestly
  3. Worst? It's definitely different, and it's far from being a favourite of mine. But the point was that a song can be bombastic and feature piano.
  4. I'm honestly down for more synthy and/or trap beats-y music from her, as long as it's not done with Jack's cheap/tinny ass, 2$ drum set.
  5. I actually disagree with this take, Candy Necklace is, I think, her most unique panio-driven song. It has that "weird" (I use that term positively) and cinematic vibe that's been absent on her past few albums. I would take more of that energy on future records.
  6. "Old sound" conversation aside, I think it'd be interesting if she goes for a richer, more "bombastic" sound for this record. Her past four albums have been very mellow/vibey for the most part, and that's cute. But I think her most memorable music had that "big production" going on--and news flash, you can use piano and make a bombastic track *cough* Wildflower Wildfire *cough*.
  7. I do think that Jack is influential, a lot of artists have been trying this dry/understated/underwhelming approach ever since Lana released NFR. He did that.
  8. You also realize that literally everyone dreads the thought of their favourite artist potentially collaborating with Jack Antonoff right? It's literally become a meme and people make fun of artists for collaborating non-stop with him and I've even heard the term "Jack Antonoffication" of music. His understated/organic/beige approach was cute on NFR, but not so much afterwards. He does come out with a hit every now and again, like Venice Bitch, White Dress and/or A&W, but at this point it's not even cute, it's tiiiired. Lana needs someone either entirely new, or work with the people that made the outstanding tracks on Ocean Blvd. like Zach Dawes, Mike Hermosa or Nick Waterhouse. You talk a big game about people being stuck in 2014/15, yet you live in a continuous loop of 2019. It's just so obvious that you're not even a fan of Lana, you're just stanning Jack.
  9. Remember when some Lana stans bullied her off Instagram because she ended up not being involved with a potential project, despite making cryptic posts
  10. Let's be honest, the 128394 variants trend for a single album is a little much. She should do like one standard black vinyl with the standard cover + one or two coloured/funky/marbled variants with an alternative cover. Or even better, make a boxset that rivals Ultraviolence's. Also, bring back 7" singles. Thank you.
  11. People hating on Zach when he's only really been a co-producer on a handful of songs is a little concerning. If we had an album produced by him from start to finish, then we'd have something to actually judge.
  12. Zach Dawes had a hand in The Grants & Candy Necklace. I'll take him.
  13. When she starts making music with new producers, she always comes out with a hit. There ain't nothing wrong with a little novelty.
  14. I'm fully on board if Zach Dawes, Mike Hermosa & Nick Waterhouse are apart of this project. If you add Rick Nowels & Jon Batiste to the equation, that'd be an album for the history books. And for the love of God, give Jack Antonoff the rest he so desperately needs.
  15. It's time for her true neo-psychedelic rock jazz fusion album.
  16. forcibly laughing at people always saying her most recent album is her last
  17. If dickriding Jack Antonoff was a sport, Mr. Jared would be a gold metalist.
  18. Lana is a real Southern gal honestly, living for her sidequest era in the deep South
  19. It's really giving Trisha Paytas wearing fast food uniforms help 😭
