Speculations on Lana's relationship with her mother
West Coast replied to Whoopiedoo's topic in Lana Thoughts
This thread even existing... oof. Highly speculative here: -
There are gems on Lust For Life, can't blame Rick (or Kieron) for going along with Lanz when she wanted the record to sound a certain way (in that case fill 75% of the album with cheap/tacky trap beats). We can legit say the same with Jack about the subpar production/mastering on NFR. Can't wait to hear what typa "yes man" moves the latter pulled on COCC.

Isn't that the chick with the creepy, uncomfortable and obviously forced low/deep/manly voice?

Goodbye, Patty It's been nice Hope you find your Paradise

Miss Del Rey back at it again with posting in bulk and shading Ms. Patty

I've campaigned for this all throughout the LDR7/White Forever pre-release thread and no one seemed to care. But I honestly think that if Lana were to work with both Kevin and Rick Nowels I think I'd die. Something halfway between 'Ultraviolence', 'Honeymoon' and 'Lonerism' (with a touch of 'Currents') would slap so hard.

I honestly tried to pin point something specific that resonated with me the most in your comment, but everything on here is valid af. The Lana most of us knew and fell in love with peaked at Honeymoon. Everything after that has been for the most part half-assed, generic and especially low effort (even by her so called standards). I honestly hope she pulls something great and Lana-esque on COCC. I'm honestly genuinely excited for this upcoming album, but judging by Lana's track record (and also current collaborator) I feel like it's foreshadowing yet again a lazy, flat, self-important, pseudo-introspective and beige album. I can't stand when fans try to make sense of this laziness by saying that she matured and that things sound the way she wanted them to. Like, it's great that she matured and doesn't feel like exploring similar themes lyrically. However, if that's how she really wanted her music to sound like, it honestly sucks for her because this is genuinely uninteresting and subpar for the most part, very middle-of-the-road. Anyway. On that note: Femme fatale/rock-y/mysterious songstress Lana >>>>>>>> Vagabond poet from the Canyon/Soccer mom/Instabaddie addicted to matcha tea Lana

Honeymoon - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
West Coast replied to annedauphine's topic in Post-Release Threads
A cinematic masterpiece. -
they were def acquaintances and had a mutual respect/appreciation for each other professionally speaking
-
I honestly feel like there were text messages/DMs being exchanged and their relationship went awry But I don't think Lana much cares about her birthday at this particular point
-
she's @skirtsandsuits on Insta. Idk her full name though.
-
Yeah feed us, ma. Her ability to post in bulk will never cease to amaze me. Also RIP Skirtsandsluts.

How dare anyone be rude to @ArtDecoDelRey... chile. People being rude to me, I get it I run my mouth a lot on here especially when it comes down to music and production. But there's literally nothing going on and very little information about this album, like of course this thread is going to look like a joke. It's all tongue-in-cheek until we actually get something legit to talk about.

I don't care too much for the record as a whole, but 'Bartender' is pretty good imho. But agree about 'TNBAR', either keep the original lyrics to fit in with the theming of 'NFR!' with the bullshit/cocky artist narrative she pushed in the title track, or let it be an unreleased fan favourite. But she did this song dirty on 'NFR!'.
-
I was gonna say the same honestly. Like 'Honeymoon' is clearly a long record, but somehow it doesn't feel that way and it flows really well. 'Lust for Life' sill feels more like a mixtape rather than an album, and 'NFR' while sonically the album is actually pretty cohesive, songs like 'Doin' Time', 'Cinnamon Girl', 'How to disappear', 'TNBAR' and 'hope' feel out of place, maybe the order of the songs themselves just doesn't contribute here, but still. I hope there's an interlude on COCC to make the whole thing feel less overlong.
