Kill Kill is a beautiful song. It feels like summer to me. Not only that, but can we take a moment to appreciate how cute she is in the video?

Isn't her hair just curled in the KOL vid...?

Anyway, I'm in love with these bangs. Paired with the dark hair, it looks so retro. Unless she's already recorded the "Cola" video, it'll for sure have this look, and that's really exciting for me. Imagine it all professionally done and sleek, oh my god.

UGH THIS WOMAN IS RULING MY LIFE.

I get that from a more literary stand point that the lyrics aren't particularly eloquent but like with a lot of spoken word poetry, it has a lot to do with delivery. Like in Cola "I pledge allegiance to to Dad, for teaching me everything he knows" I choked up really hard. And you know it probably has a lot to do with the fact I come from a family of women with insane daddy issues but at the same time maybe not. Also in American "Springsteen is the king don't you think? I was like, "hell yeah that guy can sing."" That just sounds like a conversation I would have to be honest. The lyrics are very casual and in that sense I find them very intimate. But then again this could just be me projecting all over the place.

My ex wanted to do food sex stuff once so I was like "okay yeah I can do that" and we got all the standard products, whipped cream, honey etc but then i just got really hungry so we ordered pizza instead.

While the front cover is alright (I'll chalk it up as yet another Lana Quirks in Decision Making), the back cover is indeed delightful. I wonder who decided to use that Jan Brueghel Sr.'s Temptation in The Garden of Eden painting.

But then, I really thought that it could use Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delight. It's all kinds of twisted, disturbing, beauty, light & dark, and dork and phantasmagorical depiction of Heaven and Hell, of monsters and sinful pleasures (with enough nudity for the fan of male and female form); but Savage Garden already got that one and even got the noir, dualism, b/w photography down pat x]

These Dutch painters.. let's forget the 50s-60s for a while, who wants to transport me to 14th-15th century Europe?
Anyways, any info or HQs on the floral and sunrise/sunset pic?

I completely agree with this! They are simple lyrics, but they feel so personal. I love them.

  24. Poison Ivy liked a post in a topic by YUNGATA in Florence + The Machine fans react to Lana winning Best Alternative
To be honest I don't think twitter fans are generally representative of an entire fan base. I like to think of them as the vocal minority really, keyboard warriors who need to pick up some extra curricular activities. I'm willing to apply this to fans of The Biebs and Little Monsters as well. I know a ton of gaga fans in real life and none of them push her music or apparent values in your face. They're in it for the music and if you don't like her that's okay. The same should be said for Florence. People put too much weight on empty awards and get all worked up. I bet you anything a lot of them feel like dicks right now.
