Freak Music Video Premiering February 9th
Macintosh Manhattan replied to Say Yes to Heaven's topic in New Releases
Well that was beautiful and dull.... When i re-watched Freak twice and begun thinking about it I started hating it the more it when on. It doesn't feel like a music video just a collection of pretty images stuck together -montage style- with no real effort to make a solid story. A lot of the footage feels like deleted/extended shots for the scrapped UV video. I wouldn't of minded but it so obvious at some points like for instance the five minutes at the end of the video. No offense but its shockingly lazy even for Lana tbh... -
UPDATE : Honeymoon CD & Vinyl Born To Die Deluxe CD (Finally after all this time...) The Weeknd - Beauty Behind The Madness (Because Lana dose features on the album it counts same like TGG soundtrack really)

Lana Del Rey in Los Angeles February 2, 2016
Macintosh Manhattan replied to gloomyharlow's topic in Sightings
New Photoshoot maybe or at a reach maybe for another music video we don't know yet. It's very intriguing that's for sure... On another note though she looks great. I love her grungey alternative look so much. -
If my memory is correct I'm pretty sure WC video leaked a day or two before it was realeased on youtube and it was edited differently. The beginning with the Palm trees was longer and the title West Coast appeared in the video at the beginning too. Hopefully some other members can confirm it aswell...

Lana Del Rey's newest Creeper: Dua Lipa
Macintosh Manhattan replied to WhiteHydrangea's topic in Lana Thoughts
She was sixteen when she made those post so she might of y'know grown-up and changed her mind about Lana like Lorde did... Also dose it really matter? I'm sure there's a few members here who couldn't stand Lana at the beginning when she blew up but saw the light later on and now adore/admire her. -
I just seriously can't imagine her like that ever. I agree with other members on this thread she just so untouchable. She maybe a Freak in California but she is obviously not under the sheets -not that way anyway . She just way too shy and a very very private person. The only way your ever gonna see Lana naked is other a.) pervy paparazzi photographer or b.) sex tape leak she had no idea was being recorded/filmed in the first place... Also I'm in love with some of the responses on this thread

Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth criticizes Lana in memoir
Macintosh Manhattan replied to Deleted User's topic in Latest News
And The Kim Drama and Shade continues - On the subject of complex, modern-day feminist icons, she throws rocks at Courtney Love in the book (“manipulative, egomaniacal”, “mentally ill”) and has some caustic words for Lana Del Rey – a paragraph she says her editor has since softened. “I mean, is that a persona?” she says today, referencing comments Del Rey made last year about wishing to be dead. “Is that really her, or is she just waving self-destruction like a flag; as a way of marketing herself?” The idea of young musicians romanticising death is predictably offensive to Gordon given the loss of her friend and Sonic Youth tourmate Kurt Cobain. http://www.nme.com/features/kim-gordon-interview-sonic-youth-legend-on-her-revealing-memoir-lana-del-rey-and-extreme-noise-clean?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social -
Hotline Bling - Drake I really can't stop listening to it even though its not that good per say...

Not true in fact she has somewhat still got a reasonably large fanbase here in the UK. Her popularity has definetly shrunken through but that's due to the fact she doesn't tour or dose barely any promo here which is a shame Because UK and Europe in general loved Lana alot more than US back in the Pre/Post BTD Era of her career. Her HM album sales are still decent here too though there were nothing like BTD or UV. The nomination was a complete surprise though I really think she might win BC the other nominees body of works are really weak in comparison to HM...

Honeymoon - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Macintosh Manhattan replied to annedauphine's topic in Post-Release Threads
I really don't think we will be getting anymore music videos for this era and I honsetly don't mind tbh. The visuals this era haven't been very cohesive or strong they're just plain dull. I really liked the HM snippet tralier through. That was very reminiscent of how I imagined HM era as a whole would look like. It snatched my weave on multiple levels. -
