I really don't want a whole "Lana's still up to hating feminism" thing like we had enough of the bullshit stories "Lana had plastic surgery" "Lana is Lizzy" "Lana wants to die" "Lana hates women" like what the fuck she could drop a paperclip and headlines would be like "Lana caught throwing toxic waste on city streets and promotes pollution"

this picture is so sexy but SEEDY... its such a plain picture but i totally get like luxe toilet blow job vibes from it; only steven klein could create something like this with nothing extraneous necessary

Maybe the way her lips catch the light is symbolic of how heavily the media focused on her lips and possible plastic surgeries in her early days

Naaaahhhh jk I'm just practicing my reaching exercises.
    maybe

I like the underexposed shot and how her lips catches the light, it's so sensual and mysterious.

At first i was like "ugh why wasn't this shoot during the UV era, it's so UV" but then with that black veil its like a dark Honeymoon and my worthless life has been slain.

This in my opinion could be one of her best magazine shoots. So beautiful and with a sinister vibe   :defeated:

Hadn't seen the middle picture yet, so in love w this shoot! I think the cover reminds me of
but more grown up (one of my favourite Lana looks). Just adore the Priscilla vibes.

Really wish these had been for the album though

THE GIRL MOST LIKELY For V's Best of the Best Issue, Steven Klein and Lana Del Rey unite for an intimate "Private Collection" of Polaroids. Don't miss more photos and an interview with close friend James Franco where the singer opens up on those relationship rumors, her colorful past, and being misunderstood in the U.S. PRE-ORDER YOUR COPY NOW

    From Huffington Post:

Lana Del Rey doesn't always give interviews, but when she does, she makes them count.
The sultry songstress sat down with friend James Franco for V Magazine's fall issue to talk about her new album, the criticisms she faces and, of course, that infamous "anti-feminist" quote.

""The luxury we have as a younger generation is being able to figure out where we want to go from here, which is why I’ve said things like, 'I don’t focus on feminism, I focus on the future,'" she told Franco. "It’s not to say that there’s not more to do in that area. I’ve gotten to witness through history the evolution of so many movements and now I’m standing at the forefront of new technological movements."
She continued, "I’m not undermining other issues. But I feel like that’s obvious, like I shouldn’t even have to bring that up."
Of her new album, "Honeymoon," Del Rey explained, "It's the word that sums up the ultimate dream. I mean, life is a honeymoon, y'know?? Life, love, paradise, freedoms ... that's forever."
Del Rey also appears on the glossy's cover, which was shot by photographer Steven Klein and left totally unretouched. "

Also it's ridiculous how they are sending her songs to a format with Beck, St Vincent, The Black Keys on the radio

But strangely somehow submit her to a category with Miley, Sam Smith, Bruno at the Grammys.

Does it make sense to you?

thank you. It took me like an hour to check what mediabase link had them, cause i got a list but not everyone had the song

This thread is made specially to request Lana's songs on US radio, now is High By The Beach turn.   What do i have to do to request a song?   1. Search High By The Beach or any Lana song that is there, but if there's two songs, pick the single and click the square on the side of the song.   2. Fill your name.   3. Fill the code in the lowest part, but refresh it first.   These are the links:

It's okay if no one agrees, but I've seen a lot of the songs of this album (released so far) to be Lana coming to terms with reality. Like she has finally realized her daydreams about her bad boys are not true. 'Dreaming away your life' at the end of Honeymoon the first track. 'I can't survive if this is all that's real' in HBTB. 'I lost myself when I lost you' although I do believe this is about grief it could also be a loss of the image of someone, the loss of who you thought they were, who you made them up to be in your head.

Also when you read Burnt Norton it's very metaphysical and dreamy. Talking about the concept of time.... I need to hear the rest of the album but I've noticed an undercurrent of dreams and maybe that's what Lana meant by surrealism.

I really disagree, I don't think it's just about telling a story, it feels quite insulting for instumental musicians as Miles Davis (when we started to talk about concept album).
It's too easy to cut all subtleties of sounding process that really can define an album as 'concept album'.

I found this, it explains a lot :

but thanks to the elvis presley and michael jackson of our generation (melanie martinez and Ashley, respectively) the phrase has come up so much it's become meaningless

I mean, it's not a new thing. Lou Reed's Berlin (1973) has been one of my favorite concept albums for a while.
