  1. Yeah, especially the self-titled album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzm1DY3hJL8 (last one's from Dummy but I'd love to have a Lana song with a mood similar to this)
  2. Why would anyone throw rocks at you, it's your opinion. I would disagree with BtD. Yes, it's a pretty pop-ish album and it also has a very ongoing theme but the sonsg themselves are actually quite diverse. I think the songs on HM are good. Yet, 90% is ONE type of song you can make and Lana really did it right. but a collection of slow, laid back songs with a common tempo and a quite similar production is just not something I want for ANOTHER album. Dversity does not have to mean you have up-beat pop songs mixed up with ballads. There are a lot of pretty nice cohesive albums which are diverse at the same time. Just look at Portishead's Dummy for example. The production and the mood is actually pretty cohesive, yet it has a lot of facets and variations WITHIN this sound-frame. And that's something HM misses in my opinion. The stuff she created was beautiful, yet it feels a bit uninspired when you listen to it as a full album because everything seems so similar and it's also so long and slow. It is more mature and laid back and I think it's good all the albums have a slightly different vibe (BtD is playful, P is very ethereal, UV has a lot of fire) yet for HM I feel like it's a bit ... dull. HBTB/Freak/AD is really the fun part of the album while the rest feels like a collection of tracks that are very very similar (although beautiful)
  3. I don't say the SONGS are boring. Religion was my fav song on the album when it came out. But when I listen through HM and then after AD's faded out in that very laid back way, we get this (also pretty uneventful interlude and the Religion and Salvatore come and it's just ... yawn. I think Swan Song would have been a wonderful unsettling and dramatic closer for an album if it wasn't for the fact that all the songs BEFORE were already so slow. It has this really nice vibe, there is something ... uncomfortable with it but in a good way.
  4. I think Honeymoon is not a bad album, I actually like it and the songs on their own are all pretty nice. But the tracklist and the overall lack of diversity just drowns them out. Honeymoon is a nice, beautiful track to start an album with a slow song because it builds up a lot of tension. MTWBT is a nice follow up but then we instantly get two slow, sad ballads. Then the album finally manages to pick up a bit of spice with HBTB/Freak/Art Deco but immediatly loses this spark again. religion and Salvatore are nice songs, but they just feel super boring within the context of the album. And then we get three beautiful, yet slow and heavy cinematic tracks which are all pretty long. And then it finishes with DLMBM, which is really sucking out all the life that may have been left in you. UV wasn't upbeat and very cohesive but it carried a lot of "fire" and never had a stale tempo/sound. HM has this very laid-back production, which is nice, but the fact that from Art Deco onwards we don't get any tempo change on the record anymore makes the whole thing sound reeeeally boring, even though the tracks on their own are really nice. Honeymoon is a very solid Lana album but it really isn't as exciting as BtD/P/UV and the fact she's not doing promo anymore does not help.
  5. UV had 11 trakcs and we got 5 bonus songs. The 11 track main album is pretty well done and cohesive while the bonus tracks still match the album's sound, yet show some different sides of that style. That's a difference to having 14 tracks HM which just drags on and on and on before ending.
  6. I'd rather have a 11 track album with a bit more "spice" insted of an album that has 14 tracks feels like a drag. I'd prefer to have a shorter regular version with some bonus traks that are a bit "outside" of the album-concept. But PLEASE no Itunes, Japan and Target exclusives - just one regular and one deluxe edition.
  7. You don't have to share anything with anyone but going into a forum and boasting/teasing about what you know/have but won't tell/share with others is quite a lot of entitlement in my eyes if you are actually not really the person who is legally allowed to have/know these sort of things. Because either way you share something or you decide to keep it to yourself, making big announcements about how you won't share something is not really "not giving a fuck".
  8. I trust Eclipse, he was always a relieable source. But I still can't at some of you still celebrating him as "King". Of course it's always fun to have infos but it seemingly reached a level where it invades her privacy that much that she feels the need to contact him. Not because she wants to but because he had the audacity to tag her on leaked lyrics. And he keeps the narcissism and entitlement he always displays on this board when he is talking to her, acting benelovent etc. I am also always happy for Lana news but why would you be so into someone who behaves likes this for the sake of it?
  9. Not really my fav song by her but the video is extremely good! Love the colors and the way the conversation is replaced with sounds
  10. That's kind of the same thing we have EACH era, the other video is one of the Tropico trailers that were put on private.
  11. Why would y'all bother her with all the boring unreleased stuff? Like, unreleased tracks are nice and everything but the new music is what counts.
  12. Most obvioulsy. The initial post about it made it seem like it was a direct answer when she just dropped a heart in a pool of fan comments.
  13. Does someone have a screen/exact link to the post where she replied to "Wild SIde"?
  14. The fact she actually REACTED to it is interesting. I mean, I doubt she would react if she would not have plans with it. Do you remember how she casually announced West Coast when someone tried to pass an old unrleased as the new single?
  15. I think even though she's not having a super variable voice, the sound of it is pretty pretty nice. She just sometimes does things with it that is not really benefitting like when she tries to sing very dramatic or use high registers. But basically it's a very nice, raspy voice with recognition value. Just listen to Haunt. most obviously fake
  16. A bit worried about Lana appearing. Having an actor play multiple roles in ONE season is ok when the characters are super different (even then it's confusing for people who don't know about the previous seasons) but this time Sarah's main role is a pretty normal looking women and not a clown wearing animal print. Two normal women - not supposed to have a relationship but not really looking or sounding different. Could be a bad idea but we'll see
  17. Listened to AP again and I really think she should have stayed there. It's such a good album with this glam-pop feeling that really fits her and her persona. The songs are fun and sound really good (a few exceptions but I guess that's normal). Joanne is so pretentious and boring in comparance. And the worst thing is that she can't fill up the pretentiousness with actual sound/lyrics. It just feels like an attempt to make extremely generic pop songs sound "alternative"
  18. Lana could easily go back to orchestra X beats without having to do it in the same pop-ish routine as on BtD Something a little bit like Portishead or Hooverphonic would really work aswell
  19. It's not even creepy, it's cringeworthy and pathetic.
  20. Ultraviolence. She really did something new on it, Dan Auerbach's production, the way it combines dark and summery vibes, the passion, the raw emotional vocals ...
  21. Lana Del Ray - 19 (-) Ultraviolence - 43 (+)
  22. Well, when? This was a legit question so no reason to give me attitude
  23. I don't think "they" is still referring to "the girls" but her label not wanting the video
