The "I'm in love" thing is similar, but it's just to different regarding the execution. The Deadly Nightshade thing .. hm. It's one plant of many that Marina sings about in this part of the verse, and it's one that's often appearing in lyrics. The sirens thing .. nah, I think this is really just a coincidence. Marina uses it in order to describe outdoor sounds of a city, nothing that reminds me of Lanas use of the word.

These lines are similar/the same, but not one of them is so noticable for a Lana song that you could say that it's a legit influence on marina (as long as she doesn't confirm it).

Idk .. she got so thin ..... I wished she did some photoshoots with the style from the acoustic videos .. I already loved the EH acoustic video styles and I was so sad we never got an actual shoot with this wonderful execution of the blonde hair/ black roots hairstyle. The hairstyle she has in Immortal/ the aocustic videos and the acoustic video outfit for Happy is so beautiful ... I'd also like some official stills from the FORGET video.

The only song she did that I actually like is "Wonderland", and I don't have any problems to still enjoy it, since I know she gets beheaded at the end of the music video

Lol, it's just commercial stuff. Teasing us with a snippet and then holding the song, which is one of the sole reason why many people care for his album, back, in order to fish for more customers. Not that I blame him for doing it, it's a logical consequence for someone who wants to sell his stuff, but it's still annoying as hell. So in the end, I don't think it's about not wanting to live in Lana's shadow at the moment, but about making a profit from it, by keeping people interested in him as long as he has this song.

Hm, they definitly have some things in common .. homevideo material included in music videos, atmospheric stuff, a short-movie-length music video, dark atmospheric vibes ...

Of course he's doing a bad job. But it's obvious he's fishingfor the attention of Lana fans, by not putting it out and instead delaying the release of this song by releasing other stuff.

Srsly, just give us Riverside. Noone actually cares for the rest of the album.

Makes it even less exciting for me .. Hollywood's Dead is good but overproduced and Damn You is a basic pop mess in my eyes ...

Because Miley says "No, I'm not objectifying myself, I'm EXPRESSING myself!" and everybody screams "WHY DO YOU SUPRESS THE SEXUALITY OF THIS WOMAN! THIS IS LIKE IT SHOULD BE, WOMEON SHOULD BE ABLE TO EXPRESS THEIR SEXUALITY" if you critisize her for acting cheap in order to archive success. Rihanna acts tought while going back to the man who punched her into hospital, but everybody just cares for how iconic it is and how it's her busyiness. Lana on the other side is openly taking the submissive role, even though many times only in her lyrics, and is torn apart.

Well ... I mean, it's not ike I totally agree with her, but .. I think she somehow has a point. Many parts of of Lana's art-persona would be rather unbearable if you would consider it a serious opinion.

Well, taste is taste but nah. Oh, I wouldn't have a problem with Ronson as long as the result is good. But i don't want a "Cedric Gervais Remix album" or any of this annoying uptown shit he's been putting out lately.

__________ I don't want Lana to go into a direction which isn#t fitting her and her voice at all just to get some hits. And I don#t think she will do something as this. however, I would love to have a bit of diversion in her style.

This is my rating after listening to the album a few times. 01. Savages - reminds me of the TFJ era alot and I love everything about it .. her vocals, the instrumental, the production, the lyrics ... everything. 02. Froot - sadly this song didn't really depicted on how the album whould be, as it's actualyl quite unique on the album. Still, the Greek Goddess visiting the Rainbow Disco - sound slays. 03. Immortal - I like the lyrics and the ballroom-esque feeling of this ballad a lot. Also, this unexpected guitars during the chorus #VOTDvibes 04.Solitaire - The fragile vibe of this song combined with this ethereal beat and the voice-filter is really special. 05. Better than That - a really fun song. 06. Can't Pin Me Down - my least favourite song on the first listen, this one really grew on me. The melody is really nice. 07. Forget - a unique and raw sounding song which manages to transport a feeling of being exhausted and tired while still being upbeat. 08. I'm A Ruin - I guess the song really grew on me. Still nothing spectacular, but pretty catchy and nice, even though it can't catch up to Hollywood and Primadonna as a radio single. 09 Happy - I love how this builds up from fragile and cold to warm and finally dramatic.However, I think the second part of the song is a bit .. messy. 10. Blue - Another grower. I guess if it wasn#t for the lyrics, I would like it less. Its nicely produced, but just not my kind of thing I guess. 11. Gold - Very unique, however a bit strange aswell. I like how it is a chill song, especially the chorus is interesting, but it's notsomething I listen to very often or something I really needed her to do. 12. Weeds - Don't get me wrong, that's a pretty solid song with nice lyrics, however NOTHING about it makes me care very much for it. Neither her vocals, nor the melody or instrumental are spectacular. Don't know why everyone is so cross about the lyrics of Immortal and Savages. They are meant to depict her personal thoughts and think they are quite nice.

Because people made it sound like she was crying like a baby when it was actually more a bit of sobbing.
