  1. Would be cool, since there are so many demos containing the topic, Every Man gets his Whish, 1959, heart Shaped Chevrolet, Hawaiian Tropic or Daytona Meth. Especially the Hawaiian Tropic vibes would fit UV
  2. You are right, you just misquoted the most important part "Everybody knows, they call me brooklyn baby" ;D
  3. Well, maybe it will feature some tracks, Brooklyn Baby could be a good radio track, MPG is said to be radio friendly ... But judging from what we heard so far there will be lots of very long tracks, with a very own style that won't be very suitable for a radio station. I mean, it would be really cool to hear something like SoC on the radio, but i can not imagine this will be happening. So BtD may not be a "radio-friendly"-album, however it features lots of songs which are more radiofriendly than what I expect UV to be. I mean, National Anthem, Born To Die, Blue Jeans, Radio, Off To The Races, Summertime Sadness .. they may not be typical Mainstream-chartlist songs, but a lot more radio-friendly than Shades of Cool, Black Beauty or Ultraviolence.
  4. Yeah, but Cruel World will be the opening, like the "extended live version" of Cola was for the Paradise Tour, so there is still space for an intro. The CO Theme would be awesome, especially the monologue. Imagine, Alex saying "This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit oft the old ultra-violence" and then Cruel World would start to play with Lana doing some of her "ohooohohoooos" behind the stage ... Pure awesomeness!
  5. Well, I guess it depends on what you imagined. It all sounds "cinematic" so far, "unlistenable" ... well, I guess this was a little bit of promo exaggeration, but we'll see. And it is infact dark, however maybe not in the way we thought it would be.
  6. I hope so, even though I will only listen to Brooklyn Baby in full, for the rest of the songs I wanna have the "album" experience when I get it on the 13th.
  7. Well, atleast ONE other video would make sense. I mean, there are 2 more settings we've seen, which feature the boys hanging out and some more red-dress scenes. All other scenes are infact outtakes from WC. So maybe there will be one video featuring the same settings, could imagine this for something like Brooklyn Baby. I hope Ultraviolence gets it's own music video, as it really tells a story.
  8. Well, even if it may sound weird, I really want songs like this on the album. I mean, it's called Ultraviolence, so it shouldn't bee all fun and games and just about "failed relationships" or something. UV itself .. yeah, it fits the theme, but I want more songs with "ultraviolent" topics, so Lana shows us she's not always the flower-crown-wearing girl with lovesongs.
  9. Well, if they get it on Itunes, it seems it's not completely FNAC exclusive and the chances are high this will be the "Target-Bonus-Track" as well as the song being aviable for download to all the people who haven't preorderd too at some point.
  10. So the Tracks with explict-content will be Cruel World, Brooklyn Baby, Pretty When You Cry (wonder what will be explict about this one, or if it just will be something like "f*cking crazy"), F*cked My Way up To The Top (suprise!) and Is This Happiness. All the other ones, including "Flipside" will be "clean", at least concerning the words she uses ^^
  11. The date is not wrong, it's released on the 13th in some parts of Europe (at least here in Germany)
  12. I guess this is MPG, you know, the lyrics have something "cold" about them and Money Power Glory sounds like a song about ruthless upper-class people ^^
  13. The song most likely will be about how she's a Brooklyn Baby and how she loves her man. Maybe some references to her early pre-success years. But imagine how awesome it would be if this wouldn't just be another autobiographic song but a story-telling one. She builds up the atmosphere and setting in the first verse, she's a sweet girl living in Brooklyn, singing in a band with her boyfriend being the guitarist. Feel the Chet Baker vibes. But then, they get envolved with the downtown crime-scene. Imagine how it would send chills up our spine while we listen to her, singing in her sweetheart voice about how her best friends becomes a drug addict and dies of an overdose, her boyfriend being shot by a cop while robbing a bank and she herself being raped by a band colleague. At the end of the song she wanders the streets of Brooklyn as a wasted girl.~ I'm a Brooklyn Baaaaby ~ We all would be left half terrified half enchanted at the end of the song. I don't think this is going to happen, but I would really like to hear a song like this from her, you know "Girl With One Eye"-style.
  14. I think what he says is that Lana is not the kind of singer who deals alot with social critisicm. She sings about the topics she likes, as love, tragedy or sometimes, she's just describing a situation or feeling. I would never say that I do not consider lyrics important for songs and I think there still are very good songs about social aspects in our time. But I do not think of Lana as such a singer, since .. well, she's just not the person for this. not because her work is bad or because she's stupid. But she has described the influences for her lyrics often, and social criticism isn't one of them i guess.
  15. A close up and the complete picture of her lying in the flowers *_* And the front card also looks stunning .. Hope we'll get this images (digital) at some time.
  16. So .. they actually recorded a lot more scenes, like the one in the room with the boys, her being at the beach at night and her sitting around in the smoke while waring the red dress? And then they just chose to make the West Coast Video to consist of a few beach and one million daddy-in-the-car scenes with a few "red dress"-parts? Although I'm more into her darker tracks, I really like Brooklyn Baby, despite it being a very sugary song as it seems. It fits the name of the song and seems to have a great atmosphere, And maybe the lyrics won't be so sugary in the full version, you know like she's the sweet brooklyn baby and then something really bad happens, while she continues to sing in this sweet-girly way. I would realyl like to see that happen.
  17. Like with most of the other official Remices (except for example Dan Heath's Orchestral Remix) this one remixes the Radio Mix of the song, which has rerecorded vocals. "Mice check" is from the studio version though.
  18. Brooklyn Baby sounds like the love child of Summertime Sadness and Diet Mountain Dew.
  19. Though I would like to hear one ... You know, like .
  20. Well I guess the solo and her voice at this part aren't mixed perfectly. You don't know what is supposed to be the "main act" at this part of the song. Still it sounds very nice, but I also had to get used to it.
  21. Maybe there will be a Ultraviolence - Fucked My Way Up To The Top Edition for christmas, like it was with Paradise
  22. I think UV still has BtD sounds, not that it's something bad. SoC and WC sound different to BtD, which i really like, caus even tough I loved the era, it's getting boring if a singer does the same thing over and over again. Still, she#s Lana Del Rey she has her style, which is perfectly fine. But I also wouldnt consider any of these tracks as "jazz". Lana-Del-Rey-Jazz, yeah, but not what I would classify as "classic jazz music".
