  1. Hm, I kind of see where you are coming from. Her music is very cohesive, especially her current setlist. And looking at her full discography I think she's actually quite diverse. There are those atmospheric horror-tunes sitting next to heavy sludge-rock stuff and acoustic folk tracks. I love that you can hear the "Chelsea Formula", no matter which genre she does. The Hiss Spun concerts are really awesome, with the dramatic lights and the live version of older tracks like Demons or Ancestors, The Ancient. I first saw her during an Abyss concert in 2015, and while that was great, the Hiss Spun concert left a much bigger impression on me. It was so ... on point.
  2. Thanks, always happy to see people get into her stuff I was at one of her HissSpun concerts this summer and it was definitly one of the year's highlights! She's currently working on another acoustic album, which is super intriguing since her last efforts were pretty heavy.
  3. TFJ still sounds good because it was unique and had ut's own distinction. EH was gorgeous back in the day but the thrill of it is just worn off. If any record was produced in a super bland way that'll grow old soon, it's FROOT. And now she's workibg with the likes of Clean Bandit and Emotional Machine already sounded boring and "dated" the time she performed it live for the first time.
  4. She said Coachella was standalone. There are still 3 months for her to put those on the tracklist in favor of How To Disappear and Sylvia Plath
  5. So tired of that "she owes us nothing" argument. No she obviously doesn't but that does not mean you can't have an opinion about her work that is not YASS QUEEN
  6. She did not. It's still everywhere. Don't start the drama.
  7. Wait for it to be cancelled. Or just a performance of Video Games and the Venice Bitch live-version.
  8. Sone people prefer quality over quantity. A great short record is better than a long one with lots of fillers or forgetable songs. Nothing to do with beibg pretentious, just not being greedy.
  9. The way her voice shortly cracks during "how it gave you you everything" during the second Heroin chorus. The way she uses a very low register during "I want" and then climbs up into the heights of "Money, Power and Glory". The layered FMWUTTT vocals during the last Ultraviolence-chorus The defeat you hear in her voice while she sings "but you do it well" shortly before PWYC's finale. Those ... weird nautic noises that appear in both 13 Beaches and HBTB The intros of Honeymoon, Cola, Shades of Cool and West Coast. The drum rolls in Cherry. The way she sings "And I'll never sing again", followed by the backing vocal-moans in Swan Song's chorus. The "I'm lonely" part of Wait For Life.
  10. Not that I wanna say he did but she already told us 10000 romantic working-class stories about living in trailers, working as a waitress, a social volunteer etc. andiving in like 5 states at a time. So I don't really know what about those is true and what is something she'd like to be true. After all she insisted her lips were not plastic surgery ...
  11. I don't even think it's necessarily the look itself, it's just ... one of those pics where you look bad and there is no obvious reason for it. Maybe it's vad light, a bad facial expression ... whatever It's one of those pics you take and instantly feel bad about because it makes you look 1000times worse than you actually do. Definitly a puc you would never upload anywhere OR FUCKING USE AS A SINGLE COVER
  12. Lol MAC's cover is faaaaaaaaaaaar worse. I mean, she's looking terrible on that pic. One of the photographs you immediatly delete after taking it. VB has some sort of visual going on at least.
  13. I'd love to believe this is a Yosemite tease but knowing her she just tool a trip with Chuck an did not even think about the song when uploading the pic :toofunny;
  14. It's hidden in the LfL CD version's pregab. Best song of the album tbqh
  15. So ... you want two of the best songs from this messy album gone while calling Shit For Life Feat The Shitnd a strong song, even comparing it to UV. How would one be able to even listen to an album containing Abel's generic ass shrieking-voice and the Spongebob-collab-for-the-sake-of-it without those two beautiful songs?Now I know who to nominate for worst taste.
  16. I hope Talking Like An Answering Machine is still a thing. Such an intriguing title
  17. WOw, those new songs sound amazing, especially Kalim. It has the same kind of jazz-ish undertones Replaceable had. The banging piano/drum combination of Rhodes and key is a bit reminicent of Fiona Apple. The Darkest Hour sounds pretty, but is pretty much her "usual sound". Excited for her new album! I hope the studio versions will sound as "organic" as the live-versions
  18. I'd love a textless cover with a pic like the one from Neils LFL shoot, where she wears that green-pattern dress and leans against a white wall. That would be bold.
