She just posted a cover of Brooklyn Baby on her FB and she killed it! https://www.facebook.com/miynt/videos/806894072830170/ EDIT: And seemingly immediatly deleted it

She's embarassing. Hopefully the music will at least be good

What song(s) got you interested in Lana?
Thunder Revenant replied to Doll Harlow's topic in Lana Thoughts
Video Games caught my interest back when it went viral and was played at the german radiostations. I bought the single and I have to admit I was also intrigued by her looks (cause of the single-cover), as I did not imagined the woman singing the song to have such a bold look. Born To Die on the other hand really made me stay and anticipate the record. I was so excited about how the "Video Games"-singer would progress and I LOVED the track, that was supposed to be the title-track of her upcoming debut-album. I remember listening to the official audio on her YouTube channel, with her and Bradley standing in front of the american flag, in thousands of loops. -
Love - 5 Lust For Life - 0 13 Beaches - 8 Cherry - 11 White Mustang - 9 Summer Bummer - 8 Groupie Love - 6 In My Feelings - 9 Coachella- 6 God Bless America- 5 When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing - 7 Beautiful People Beautiful Problems - 5 Tomorrow Never Came - 8 Heroin - 9 Change - 8 Get Free - 7 Some extremely great gems on there but also a lot of mediocrity, forgetable songs and "could have lived without it"-s. Biggets problem of the album is that it's so f*cking messy.

On the one hand, Lana's artistic choices when it comes to visuals have been pretty meh ever since the scrapped UV video. On the other hand, reading the fan suggestions here make me appreciate the stuff she actually puts out much more. -
Uhm .. I don't know. haven't seen anyone around here defending her, so you might just stop with your little rant there and put it on twitter or tumblr or whatever thx hun

and fans go "OMG IT'S SO CUTE I'LL SPEND 85$ ON IT! DON'T BE SO UNGRATEFUL, THE MERCH'S CUUUUUTE!" and then we wonder why we never get any quality merch -
All the special snowflakes "speaking up" about it on twitter .. it's disgusting. No matter what really happened, they are all there for a few seconds of attention, giving big speaches when all they actually care for is a bit of internet fame. Writing paragraphs about the issue, where the summary is nothing more than "I'm such a good person!". And every gay 16 yo out of a sudden calls himself an "abuse survivor", when all that happened to them is that Terry tried to kiss them on prom night and they said "no". That whole sh*t is so disgusting and disrespectful towards ACTUAL abuse survivors and people who actually got raped and did not try to use that as a way to get some attention.
-
No matter what ugly things might have happened to her, things that noone should experience ... That Timothy girl seems like an obnoxious person that is seemingly in bad need of attention and is willing to use sensitive topics like mental health to get it.

The problematic thing is more that her "awareness" is as naive as the one of a 16y o tumblerina. Probably even less, cause those are often over-aware SJW idiots. She promoted those tracks as meaningful and shit, but listening to GBA or WTWWAW does not really feel different than any Lona sobg. Same lyricism etc. The only meaningful one is Change, although that's more about herself than about society -
1. Chelsea Wolfe - Hiss Spun Dark, heavy and noisy yet melodic and enchanting. 2. Björn Meyer - Provenance Beautiful acoustic, instrumental music. Mostly guitar-driven. 3. Queens Of The Stone Age - Villains Some extremely fun alternative rock. 4. Sevdaliza - ISON Intenset and cinematic mix of fragile and vulnerable sounds, warm ambient electronica and great beats. 5. UNKLE - The Road, Pt. 1 Soft, modern TripHop 6. Lana Del Rey - Lust For Life It's Lana. It has some beautiful gems. But it's also her weakest record to date. 7. Beth Ditto - Fake Sugar Nothing too deep, but a ot of good vibes 8. Mando Diao - Good Times The boys are back with some indie-rock. It's a bit more superficial than their previous material, but still a lot of fun. Honorable mentions: Mark Lanegan - Gargoyle Cobalt Chapel - Cobalt Chapel Marilyn Manson - Heaven Upside Down Allie X - CollXtion ll Lorde - Melodrama EPs & Singles SoKo - Sweet Sound Of Ignorance Nathaniel Merriweather feat. Jennifer Charles - Summer Lovin' Caro Emerald - Emerald Island EP Emma Ruth Rundle & Jay Jayle - The Time Between Us Split EP Jay-Jay Johanson - You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone EP

Lana Featured on Jonathan Wilson's New Album
Thunder Revenant replied to surfnoirswing's topic in New Releases
Waiting for an album is less torturing if it's not a constant and stressful wait for every f*cking little detail. Apart from that, artist that announce as organized as he does usually plan a lot to keep the wait interesting. Sonetimes the pre-release is actually fun and not as frustrating and tiring as it is with Lanz ... -

Not everyone is an annoying, undecided tease like our favourite. -
Lol at y'all panicking over her song lyrics being "scary". Of course they are, they are supposed to be. It's her kitschy psycho-doll thing that y'all LOVED a few months ago when she released that lackluster Mad Hatter video. The way she sexually harassed her friend is scary and disgusting but could y'all just calm down a bit and not act as if this was about you being molested?

She went from whiny Abel's trash commercial "music" to a handsome indie-rock act. Congratz on that Lana! -
"Let's put an Iphone emoji on a sweater. Done." Wow,poor Lanz really works so hard!
-
Lana prints an ugly emoji on a basic cap and a basic sweater and y'all go crazy ... you can do that yourself at ANY copy-shop. No wonder she never puts effort into her merch, y'all buy the biggest kind of shit just for the sake of it.

I want a dark, lowfi video with the dancers and a Twin Peaks vibe -
Y'all stan the most basic, generic and forgetable popacts, yet you are worried about one consistent, breathtakingly good record. You remember The Suspended Kid? That had a pretty different sound and vibe. Children Of Silk was kind of the "intro" of the ISON sound, so that's why it has a similar vibe. So yeah, I'm sure she won't just dublicate ISON. And even if .. still better than most of the so called music released at the moment.

If L4L wins anything over UV and HM, it just proves yet again that the GP has no taste when it comes to Lanas music. -
Omg another Chelsea fan! It's supposed to be a "happy" track though, isn't it?

It was done even before LfL, back then Lana still promoted Yosemite as her favourite track on the record. So no -
