    Poppy

I preferred her when she really did music with some sort of ~groove. Like Lowlife or the acoustic version of Everybody Wants To Be Poppy. Everything else is still kind of fun (especially her weird videos) but also pretty dull and it gets pretty annoying pretty fast. Funfact: My mom's phone was connected to my google account for some reason and so she always got my YouTube notifications. Turns out she watched a lot of Poppies weird videos and actually liked them
  2. I just saw an ISON vinyl in a local music shop oO did not expect that. GET THOSE GERRMAN COINS LIZA!
  3. It's nice but not really competing with anything on ISON.
  4. Seeing her behave like an edgy 15 year old on social media is getting cringy-er ever since Honeymoon
  5. It's a great record, probably my second-favourite. It's stripped bsck yet effective and there is something very mature about it (that's missing from shitty songs like LfL). However, it's also extremely monotonous
  6. Hahahaha Allie is a) not deep b) generic and bland c) not at all comparable to Lana. Her music is fun but she should stay at her level
  7. Still funnier than all those elementary-school-level"haha a drag queen said penis/vagina" jokes the gays on this forum laugh about

    Lorde

Actually sounds promising if the song does not break-down into another track a la The Louvre/Homemade Dynamite/ Supercut and manages to stay within this lull vibe.

    BANKS

It's a solid track. Catchy and I like that it's not yet another slow ballad. But yeah, pretty much the usual BANKS stuff. Her melodies, productions and vocal repertoire are quite limited. Still a nice song.
  10. I think you have to see this on two levels: The first one is the actual referendum. 90% voted yes, BUT only 42% of the people allowed to vote actually used that priviledge. And of course, looking at all the violence that took place, people who would have voted "no" have most likely not taken the risk to get into a dangerous situation. And - as conspiracy theory-esque this may sound - you have to ask yourself who profits in this situation? The people voting yes may crave freedom etc. But the guys fueling the movement - what financial, economical or power-related reasons do they have? Has nationalism ever really brought much good to the world? The second level is the way the guardia civil (=\= police) treats the people who vote or protest. And those instances are just unacceptable, a lot of the violence was disproportinal.
  11. She just tries to distract us from the awful studio version of Disconnect with this pretentious mess. We all know all of her oh-so-important ted-talk might not matter to even herself tomorrow.
  12. She just teased something for October 4th

    BANKS

Her more "Moody" songs like Fuck With Myself are her best ones, glad it will not just be another slow ballad-y track.
  14. yeah, and that's what I recommend if you want to keep on listening to the terrible album version of OHDH
  15. Well, if all you listen to is Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and The Chainsmokers, then yeah - she's indie af. If you actually take a step back and compare her to actual "indie-artists", then you'll see that nothing about her is "indie" in any way.
  16. Her music is bland mainstream pop af, it's just not successful. That does not make her "indie".
  17. Yeah, I'm still excited for her album, singles can be misleading. But I remember "You Cover Me" got me superexcited when it was released as promo back in the day and none of the new singes manage to do that for me. But I guess The Unknown was just my fav Dillon album in general
  18. Honestly, no. I loved her more experimental and dark sounds from The Unknown and some of the more "alternative" stuff from This SIlence Kills. As nice as her voice is, the new songs showcase it's weaknesses and the production is so ... forgetable IMO.
  19. Let's see .... Cringworthy as hell. Trying extremely hard to be creepy, edgy and meaningful in all the cheap ways. 1001 cliches used without any kind of detectable self-irony. Does not even try to do something different than all of the other Cry Baby videos that came out after Carousel, Dollhouse and Sippy Cup. Uses a song from a two year old album that has aged just as bad as it's concept. She really has a big career coming I guess.
  20. Nothing is more embarrassing to listen to than the basic, shitty track that is LfL with it's bland lyrics, it's lacking production and Abel's so called "vocals". Don't even try to drag a great song like 13 Beaches for that piece of garbage.
  21. All of it is ugly and basic and if you guys really spend that much money on that half-assed shit, never complain about her laziness again
  22. Her merch was always ugly and low-quality as hell. Don't know why y'all get hyped
