I think that, given the point this issue has reached, it's safe to say that she cancelled the tour because of it. But other artists have done the same and have been honest about it, I don't get why would she lie or give the vague, blurry explanations she gave.

Hey! Just noticed that, on february 27th, Jack Antonoff uploaded a bunch of pictures to Instagram, one of them a picture of a lot of polaroids disposed on a wall. I can recognise Lana in at least two of them. Should we assume that they've been working again on the studio lately? I post this here as I think it counts as a "sighting", and it didn't exist a thread for it.

The perspective and lightning. If you see the pictures from her brother's b-day -just few days ago-, she looked as if someone had make her age with Faceapp.

It's funny cause it's just her face what seems to be 20 pounds heavier, and that's because the terrible fillers. -
I sometimes wonder what kind of social environment is she surrounded by that she doesn't seem to get this kind of necessary criticism or develop true awareness about the social topics she tries to talk about. I'm sure her intentions are good, but her perspective about topics that go beyond her inner world always end up showing themselves clumsy and uninformed. Anyway, I think that she's very slowly enriching her point of view on some matters. Remember how bigot some of her lyrics and declarations have been along the early stages of her career. Not that we should give her an award for thinking twice before writing or saying stuff, but I hope that time -and the aim to amplify her knowledge if she has it, of course- will help her to visualize things from a broader, more inclusive and critical perspective.

I thought about the most inmediate political aception of the word on first instance, and get to thought about what she said about her next album having something to do with native american culture and the need to do her own "reparations". Maybe the text she's shared on the video is somehow related to that narrative?

I said sometime ago that I was worried she would become the Courtney Cox of her generation. Now, maybe it's safe to say that she may have even trespassed Courtney's level of self-ruining. It breaks my heart to see how she looks now and how she used to only two or three years ago...

Both are terrible and unsubstantial. No need to make them compete on that dept.

Na, she has corona for sure. She actually has been struggling with it since 2016, when she got it at her Corona capital concert.- 469 replies

It's nice cause I happened to get a WP because of trying to keep the thing here calm. It was "out of topic", it seems. Nice. Anyway, NFR is a beautiful album, to keep the post "on topic". -

Man, discuss about the Golden Ratio, the Milky Way or the American Constitution if you want, I truly don't care. I don't need to read all of your comments about random stuff to know that calling other users "parochian or provincian" is elitist and exclusionary, as I said from the beggining. You can think that I'm "irresponsible", "mentally lazy" "ignorant", "tunnel-vissioned" or an alien from the outer space, I don't care either as long as you stop relating to others in the toxic way you are showcasing here. Is not that difficult to understand, I think. By the way, I can't understand why mods aren't getting involved regarding the levels of disrespect that are being reached sometimes here. -

As I said, I couldn't be less interested regarding whatever happens between you or whoever on a personal level. Not taking part on that, just happened to see your comment and found it offensive and disgusting. Not trying to "suck up" on anybody, man, you can be sure about that. I come here to enjoy an enriching discussion about the topics set to talk about, not to participate in or have to watch behaviours that are all but interesting, enriching or even civilisated, on what comes to human interaction. All the other matters (p.e, "people being ignorant") are subjective perceptions that I don't care about either. Just asking for a gentler way to communicate here between users, no matter the differences on the points of view exposed. -

I couldn't care less about the personal issues going on between users, but this kind of language is nothing but elitist and exclusionary. Sure that's not the way a socially healthy or respectful communication between the people who frequent the forum would look like. Let's keep the dialogue enjoyable to all. -

I love the standard cover too, and it's curious cause some of the visual textures on it depict so well some of the sonic textures on the album (p.e, the skies and the mellotron arrangements), but the "surfy" font used for the title and the "LDR" logo are kinda out of place. They don't fit with the classical sound that the album tries to evoque. -

I randomly played an NFR playlist that's on Youtube with the Urban Outfitters alternative cover, and came to the conclusion that that cover is the one that truly fits better with the album's soundscape. Stripped back, down to earth, sometimes sketchy, yet beautiful, warm, full of light and meaning. An adequate cover for a classical piano-rock album. Reinforces the thought that Lana is going through an absolutely new stage on her musical journey, and that all of us should better get used to it, just to not expect her anymore to adjust to the aesthetical canon she used to fit in along her earlier artistic projects. -
I hadn't listened to that song fearing that I'd hate it, and I feared correctly. It sounds like the kind of music that would be played at a mall's kids playground. What the fuck has happened to her....

Hope is a dangerous thing, but we still have it. -
It seems like the most logical career continuation after Happiness is a Butterfly video.

Come on, she will play on Sunday! Dont y'all see "Soccer Mommy" anounced that day? -
Kind of agree with you. The thing is that Lana receiving the grammy for NFR would have been a symbolical way of her finally being recognized and celebrated as an artist by the academy, so the album itself would've been the least important thing. Billie, on the other hand, won not less than 10 of them with just 18 years and a debut album that wasn't half as good as anything Lana has put out on her whole career -not that I hate Billie or her album, but Lana is and always has been on another league on artistic terms-. Even if the awards don't give any kind of objective measure of artistic value, and as critic as I've been towards Lana's behaviour -musical and not- since Lust for Life, I can't but feel sorry for her after what happened last night regarding the way the industry still behaves to her.
