meeee!! who are the 2....? yea, i wish untucked was more of a thing, but tbh with you i feel like it would kind of be redundant - this set of queens don't seem to be especially shady, and when they are everyone just kinda laughs about it. i don't think there'd be much drama or anything (and i don't predict much drama for the entire season tbh) so a full untucked might be pretty boring

be safe situations like these are horrifying and i'm always feeling like there's nothing i can ever do about them. is there anything we non-chileans can do to help out except for spread the word??

Summer Bummer is deeply underrated - I understand why much of the fandom wouldn't appreciate it because of how heavily hip-hop it is, but I think it's this brilliant combination of dark yet charming, light yet heavy, hard-hitting yet laidback. It's danceable and a real summer jam but it's also a little sinister and devilish. Also I fckn LOVE the lyrics: "You can't escape my affection, wrap you up in my daisy chains"; "White lines and black beaches and miles in between us"; "We travel for weeks just to escape your demons".

thank you, this smacked some sense into my broke ass! you're absolutely right, it wouldn't be much fun at night at all and of course we all know what to expect from a lana show already -
Honeymoon - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
daphnedinkley replied to annedauphine's topic in Post-Release Threads
looking back on the Honeymoon post-release thread a few months after release, it's shocking how much people didn't like the album the thing is, Honeymoon is obviously a mood album. NFR! very much isn't, so it has to be judged as a set of individual songs (that are compiled together in album form obv) as opposed to a big atmospheric piece, so i think any comparisons in quality between Honeymoon and NFR! are kind of redundant. it seems much fairer to judge its quality in comparison to BTD and UV. -

This is a really interesting take. I feel super differently cause I feel like HM is almost more of a fantasy piece - what with all the big cinematic sound and talk of gangsters, sunshine, limousines and saaawwwfft iiiice creeeeaammm - whereas NFR feels much more rooted in reality and earthy. I get much more of an UV vibe from NFR personally.

Verona, Italy @ Arena di Verona - June 9th, 2020 [CANCELLED]

i'm actually super tempted to fly over for this, but honestly i just know the setlist is gonna be the same and nothing will change and she'll be lipsyncing and (( like i got all excited about the idea then i realised how lacking she is live -
I hope this makes sense lmao but would you guys prefer for the songs to be more piano-based or guitar-based? For example on NFR even songs with quite a lot of guitar (California, The Greatest, etc) clearly started out with a piano-based framework. Personally I'd like songs to be more guitar-driven this time around

Lana and Sean Larkin at Central Park in New York City - September 23, 2019
daphnedinkley replied to Elle's topic in Sightings
our girl dating a cop is disappointing already; all around the world but especially in america cops are famously unjust, prejudice and dangerous power trippers that work to fill private prisons and often boost their own egos by abusing their power and upholding an unfair judicial system at the expense of innocent people's lives. HOWEVER, the idea of "fuck all cops!!!" (as much as personally i totally agree with it) isn't something ALL people agree with even if they lean left politically and have a fairly good head on their shoulders because, hey, maybe they come across a cop that wants to change the system from the inside, maybe they come across a cop they believe to be fair and honest, maybe they come across a cop with a good heart in it for the 'right reasons'. because of this, lana dating a cop - should they fall under the 'good cop' category (if that exists) - would be disappointing yet still a little forgivable in my eyes and i'm sure the eyes of others. but here's the thing: WE ALREADY HAVE CONFIRMATION SEAN DOES NOT HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE THESE THINGS. he's a republican, a racist and judging by his insta likes, a little bit of a misogynist too. he's not a good cop. he's not even a good person. the idea of lana being with a republican and a racist breaks my fucking heart, especially with this newfound political consciousness of hers, and her still going ahead with this relationship when she has to be aware of who this man is by now speaks volumes. sean is not just any unknown cop. he's not a nobody that we can only speculate on, who could be good, could be bad, could be neither. nah. he's a confirmed republican trashbag and that's gutting. this is what makes it all so much worse, and what makes me really question lana.- 422 replies
