  2. i was never a jacob elordi fan, but then i saw him in saltburn and tbh i think he was the standout (along w/ rosamund pike) in that film!! he made his character so sympathetic but so unlikeable at the same time? like, a bit of a douchebag but also someone that i ended up thinking was the most sympathetic character in the whole film. so for that reason i agree he's totally underrated! for me, it's gotta be lakeith stanfield. i love him in everything i've seen him in and i think he's remarkably talented. i actually think he'd make an amazing joker but society isn't ready for that slayage yet

  21. TRUUU im also a Wild At Heart defender, that's got such a sweet and happy almost self-love sentiment to it and i think that's pretty nicely written. [wait is WAH the closest we've gotten to a lana self-empowerment girlboss anthem? is that her Born This Way? ] also Grandfather is quite happy i would say and that's such a poetic and gorgeous song. those Get Free verses too, so gorgeous
  22. don't apologise! it's actually interesting to see how HUGE diddy's circle is/was. like, the fact that lana was on the periphery of that world, with probably no idea of all the insidious things going on in its seedy underbelly... it really puts into perspective that most celebrities and musicians - even ones like lana in 2017, who was nowhere near as big then as she is now - are just a stone's throw away from something so dangerous and dark. my heart breaks for all the innocent ones who somehow unwillingly fell into this dark side of the celebrity world
  23. while we're on the Henry discourse - idk, i guess the reason why personally im so hyped for that song in particular is because i feel like that dark, soul-baring folky sound really really suits lana and they make up some of my fave songs of hers. Nectar Of The Gods, Bad Disease, Disco, Next To Me... all so good that being said, i'm not crazy about Not All Who Wander Are Lost, which kinda fits that profile - i wonder why? maybe it's a little too optimistic and tightly produced? whereas the gorgeously honest lyrics and unnerving airyness that songs like Disco and NOTG have really emphasise that sense of darkness carried by those songs? like i can hear those songs being sung in a small, half-empty venue to a drunk and sad audience that can relate to the depth and existentialism and gloominess of those songs, while NAWWAL is a little more campfire-y. to me, Henry sounds way closer to a Disco than a NAWWAL, which is why i think it'll make for such a perfect addition to lana's discography. plus i've always been drawn to acoustic guitar over piano when it comes to a stripped-back sound for lana. anyway that's my lil essay on why Henry is a need not a want
