Okay so it seems I fell for Putin's propaganda in the way that I thought the Russian troops were this professional, well-organized, intimidating beast of an army who know exactly what they're doing and all. Well - they're not.
It's becoming clearer everyday how unorganized this entire thing is. The troops are running out of fuel and food, have no idea what direction they're going etc. They have no tactical skill. Zelensky called them "confused, scared children". I think he's right actually. That's not because Putin is stupid but because he didn't expect Ukraine to fight back like that and over 140 countries getting involved in it. 
 
Now I don't mean to make fun of the situation. But I find it comforting to know that absolutely nothing happens as planned for Putin.
I've seen people comparing Putin to Trump and write "The problem is that Putin is very smart and not as stupid as Trump." and I agreed until I just realized, Trump is a complete narcissist. He thinks he is the shit. He would've started a war with the NATO if he was the Russian president. It's actually good Putin is not that stupid - he knows fighting the NATO would be suicide: Attack one NATO member and see Russia turn to dust. He knows it, so he won't do it, I'm sure of that. Especially since he knows about his lack of organizational skills now...

There's just no way all Russians are going to 1. want to live in a country with a leader like that and 2. want to suffer under all of the sanctions. The Russian economy is gonna be fucked if they stay for longer. The civilians are the ones having to pay (literally) for Putin's insanity. Who wants that? It's probably very frightening for them, too.
Just the word "traitors" says it all, really. Russia is finally and openly a dictatorship.

It might be an unusual reaction but the more the Russian government threatens us all, the less I respect them. They‘re scum, Putin is scum. At this point I’m looking down on them as if they were gross beetles. I‘m not scared at all I have to say

I‘m not sure he would ever do that though or have the support of his military still. I hope not. This seems like he is really just desperate as hell. He knows he lost.

Consequences for Europe: A total expulsion from SWIFT would mean that virtually all EU-Russia trade would come to a sudden halt. Russia is the EU's fifth-largest trade partner. If this enormous amount of money were to disappear overnight, member states would feel the pain in an instantaneous and painful way. Gas prices would skyrocket, sending consumer bills to impossible highs and forcing many factories to stop production altogether.
 
Consequences for Russia: If Russia is disconnected from SWIFT the economy will implode, it will be a catastrophe for the Russian economy. And if the major oligarchs are sanctioned, then Putin's own wealth would be wiped out, and would be completely inaccessible.

I'm an optimist and I do believe it is going to happen. They did cancel Nordstream 2 after hesitating so I have hopes they're not too cowardish to cut Russia form SWIFT, but they're careful. I don't know, for now I trust in the sanity of my government. I do think Scholz is a very rational man. I hope they're deciding wisely.
 
Btw, after the threat from Russia, the Swedish people seem to be even more determined to join the NATO. If they do I just hope this won't escalate even further and Russia won't actually attack Sweden and Finland.

ANYWAY apart from that, the German minister for economic affairs said something very nice yesterday and I just want to share it: "In the end, the people with their hopes, their courage und their longing for freedom will trimpuh over dictators. The tragedy is that sometimes, it takes a little longer."

From what I gather it seems like the situation has turned little and Ukraine is able to fight back harder. And Anonymous are getting involved. Now if they could hack and break down the Russian military's communication system...  One can only dream.

Okay, I just wanna leave one kind of positive thought here before I go to bed:
I have hope that some of the sanctions imposed on Russia could weaken Putin‘s influence a little. If I understand correctly many countries are not imposing sanctions on Putin himself but on the rich Russian oligarchs, which means they‘re probably gonna lose billions of dollars in the future, and as we all know - the richer the greedier. Putin is mingling with all those billionaires who now are potentially gonna lose a shit ton of money because of his stupid war. They are all very patriotic but maybe, just maybe, if they lose enough money they could make him stop. You don‘t wanna piss off the richest people in your country.
 
And with that I wish everybody a good night (/day) and hope I‘m gonna wake up tomorrow realizing that all of this was just a nightmare…
 
 

The joke is, even Putin‘s own people are protesting against that war. He has nobody on his side frankly - except nuclear weapons and that is really the only fucking problem. One of his goals was obviously to weaken the bonds of Europe and the USA, respectively the NATO but what happened is that countries like Sweden are considering to become members of the NATO now. Exactly the opposite of what he wanted. The bonds are stronger than ever and there’s so many countries, all the way to Australia, that are condemning Putin‘s actions. The only problem are the weapons he has. 
 
Btw I just wanna say, I love how nobody is coming for Russians but only for Putin here. Hatred against an entire nation because of what their leader is doing is just furthering the war rhetoric!

My dear, even if it doesn't change reality, to calm yourself down maybe you should shut off your phone, TV etc. for a few hours. Don't keep reading the news or theories of what else could happen and don't keep getting worked up about it but allow yourself a break. The frustrating truth is, no one here can help the situation anyway.

Impossible to write down all of them! There's entire songs that are incredible from start to finish, especially from her Lizzy Grant days up to the masterpieces she wrote in 2013/14.

It was the first non-single track of BTD I heard (the 2nd demo on Lana's YT channel) and I was so infatuated with the lyrics and vibes. I only drank Mountain Dew for a while because of that song. It's packed with iconic lines in general. 
 

I also didn't really enjoy the NFR era, except the FIILY/TG mv. The visuals are so beautiful and really match the songs well. 
But the pre-release was just far too long. by the time the album was out I just wasn't hyped anymore.
What I also just don't like are the dancers on stage. I think her shows were better without them.
Also, the interviews weren't really that interesting because she talked about the exact same stuff in every-single-one. To be fair, she was also asked the same questions all the time "So tell us about working with Jack Antonoff"  it was so amazing to be able to listen to that story about ten thousand times...
