This cover looks like a picsart fan art of star boy by the weekend or something but the song is just as exciting as her earlier stuff. Feels like the synths are programmed really similar if not the exact same as her past releases almost as if she sampled herself.

Jacks style recently seems so underdeveloped like the songs all sound like early demos to me idk.. he’s probably tired of making 25 songs a day with Taylor trapped in a log cabin.

Some of the pitchfork article was really harsh especially the 212 comparison I don’t really hear that at all. But tbh.. some parts of it were kind of true in my opinion. This whole album narrative being based around her achievement of a mediocre level of success with A small community of fans and Ayesha-crazed gays then it getting diminished due to her being cancelled for racist tweets. Yikes that is literally the most embarrassing narrative any album has ever had And the parts about how her mixtape was perfectly crafted to replicate a nostalgic idea of pop vs her coming out with a boring overdone borderline hyper pop album is such a disappointing trajectory. Like I agree with that part because she’s literally just doing what works. The videos haven’t done super well either and they were all filmed in one day with a green screen I mean is there no budget? A debut album from what seemed to be one of the most promising artists of 2019ish they kind of spilled. As a fan from before I was disappointed. I know some people love this album and that’s ok it’s just my opinion.

hate on joanne all u want but at least she was so passionate about it and it was an evolution and a reinvention. id rather have an album she cared about the way she was excited about joanne than chromatica which she literally couldn’t give less of a fuck about. it’s so crazy. she’s so disassociated from her own “art”. i don’t think there’s anything comparable to this in pop music ever. she’s literally selling oreos with her album concept and there was a point when her selling a perfume was “selling out” when in reality a fame perfume fit the album vibe perfectly. i know some people are just here for a cute melody and a slightly cute look.- chromatica era outfits were so bad but let me not. and i don’t hate the songs i mean it’s just dance pop but for me gaga has always been about a 360 artistic vision and it’s just so annoying to see her not give a fuck. chromatica just feels like someone else trying to creative direct the a gaga era based on the bells and whistles she brought before. personally id rather have the bad album that she was passionate about than some random pop album she wasn’t even invested in from the start

I will elaborate. Not only did he steal from Twigs, he bit Yves Tumor and Arca too. He’s stealing from smaller creators and people are worshipping it because it’s mainstream and being promoted in front of their eyes. The fact of him having a bigger Budget should breed innovation not lazily done song and effort at pole dancing. And if he was going to be inspired he should’ve done it better. He slid down that pole in CK Briefs and cheap stripper shoes from a sex shop, Twigs wore custom Ed Marler and literally learned pole dancing for the video. Lil Nas X couldn’t do what she did especially not with her budget. The song was shit it’s so boring and repetitive. Not good food at all. Not even close. He’s giving the McDonald’s version of smaller Queer and Female creators and it’s not giving what everyone on here is acting like it gave. Anyone on here should agree with me because people who appreciate Lana and Charli, Marina, Sophie, Twigs, Kelela and all of these amazing female artists have an appreciation for Good food, Inovation, Originality and style. Lil Nas Is nothing of the sort.
