  1. Tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened with her recent interest in hip hop collabs! Though I feel a track like that is more likely to end up as a feature on someone else’s record, I still think it’s totally possible! I feel like her range of musical influences and collaborative interests is wide enough to constitute deviations from her current work (whether it be pursuing country or having someone else feature a rap verse), but it would solely depend on her level of commitment to forming a record around it, I think
  2. Insiders haven’t clarified anything because LDR9 is her surprise release magnum opus & they don’t want to spoil anything. We won
  3. I wish we had a crumb of reliable info. There are so many possible projects and producers, and a little hint would steer our imaginations in the right direction
  4. I feel like I’d be too awkward to actually ask anything, but here are some questions I think would be cool to know the answers to: -“Is there a genre of music you’ve always wanted to try on a record but never have?” -“How do you decide when an album is finished and ready to be shared?” -“Is Mike Dean involved in your next record?” -“Did you expect more experimental songs like Dealer and White Dress to have such a positive reception among critics and fans?” -“Does the ‘DNC’ on your jacket mean anything?”
  5. she’s keeping quiet because a surprise release for Del Norte County (LDR9) is coming this June
  6. me on edibles reading that my moon sign corresponds to High By The Beach
  7. That’s good to know!! I wonder what the speculation was based off of, though Like, was it based off of him hearing Watercolor Eyes? Or was he just anticipating a new chapter in her discography? Idk lol
  8. I really wish we had clarification over the “trilogy” comment regarding LDR9… I initially assumed the comment was about Watercolor Eyes, but.. 1.) Most have suggested WCE likely isn’t related to LDR9 and 2.) Sonically and lyrically, it’s not incredibly different from what we’ve heard lately to constitute a distinctly new direction So, was the “trilogy” comment not about WCE at all? Is there other unheard music that this remark was based off of?
  9. Well, prior to her performing with Nikki recently, I would have guessed that “DNC” is next considering she wore the jacket at an awards show and the guy over LDR Village said it would possibly be on future merch. Now, I’m not totally sure. The studio pic with Jack could technically even be for the next poetry book, so who knows. (I’m hoping for LDR9 though lol)
  10. I’m not too preferential either way when it comes to a hiatus length, but I do hope LDR9 feels like stepping into a completely new body of work. Even though I (initially) missed the more “cinematic” production, NFR’s novelty did an amazing job at really immersing me in the essence of the record. Even if Lana settles into a more stripped, singer-songwriter soundscape, I hope there are some elements in LDR9 that really distinguish it from her past works. With NFR, I feel like the heavy emphasis on the mellotron and almost whistling synths really gave the record a unique, defining sound, and I’m hoping for something similar with LDR9!
  11. It kinda depends on what genre she’s pursuing, but.. •Bruce Springsteen •A$AP Rocky •Joni Mitchell •Hans Zimmer •Father John Misty •Dolly Parton •Radiohead (yes I know some of these are extremely unrealistic lol)
  12. I keep telling myself that Mike Dean knew BB was a more stripped album, so that’s why WFWF deviated from his typical work that could be a reach but a gay can only hope for a synth-heavy record for LDR9
  13. in before DNC stands for Diamonds ‘N Coke ….as a follow-up to the sarcastic commentary on Money Power Glory where she felt people reduced her artistry to being hungry for “dope and diamonds” and only allowing her fame in the form of infamy A Mike-Dean-produced revenge record teeming with angry vocals and satirical caricatures of herself
  14. Omg I didn’t realize they met for the anniversary! I still think about that train photo and hope it means something Also, I wonder if Drew Erickson’s producing of Watercolor Eyes was recent or closer to BB’s recording. He could end up a speculated producer too, maybe
  15. How many speculated producers are there now? -Jack Antonoff (the studio pic), -Rick Nowels (the supposed screenshot), -Mike Dean (vague Anthony Fantano interview) -I think someone also mentioned Emile Haynie?? However, even if we have confirmation of any of these producers, there’s also the question of which project..we need a crumb of info, maybe…
  16. Okay, so I used this text completion AI to help predict what the opening/closing lyrics of LDR9 will be. The results are based off of the first and last lines/sentences of her past 8 records, and here are some of the interesting ones: Opening Lines: 1.) I am my father’s daughter. 2.) I’ve spent the last thirty years sitting on my living room floor doing nothing. Closing Lines: 1.) I want you to believe me. 1.) A man’s life is empty without “Mary.” 2.) Even at 40-something, I’m never really all grown up.
  17. in before Lana mentioning a Migos collab is a tease for their feature on the country record a hip hop outlaw country synth-infused record produced by Mike Dean and Nikki Lane (this is a joke but can you imagine the meltdowns)
  18. Thinking about how iconic a Dolly Parton collab would be if LDR9 is a country record
  19. Pawn Shop Blues •Bread & Oranges •In The Name of Higher Consciousness •Flowers Dangling •The Best Man I Knew •Broken •Pawn Shop Blues
  20. Last night I had a dream Lana posted on the honeymoon account and was like, “The Rick Nowels screenshot is fake—I don’t even have a single song for the album yet, but I might soon.”
  21. Do you see the irony in assigning stupidity based on unsubstantiated assumptions regarding whether or not she thanked him just because she didn’t include every piece of dialogue from an encounter? Also, thanking the universe for an uplifting moment isn’t clown behavior—putting someone down for being appreciative toward one’s life is. I like assuming comments like these are just attempts at trolling and that people aren’t reaching to be this unnecessarily negative.
  22. Is This Happiness vs Beautiful People (Demo)
  23. I’m still curious if the supposed Kali Uchis collab might be representative of LDR9 or a future project..or if it is/was unrelated to any album altogether It’s getting so complicated because there are a million tentative projects
  24. Wait, is Emile Haynie confirmed?? edit: well, hinted at, at least lol
