Same here! I could totally hear Lana doing something in this vein; it’s subtle enough to reflect her more recent, minimalist and meandering style, but it still has very “trippy” elements. If Lana ever makes a record with Mike Dean, I could see something like this being the Cinnamon Girl or Venice Bitch of the record. I honestly never anticipated Lana to release something like Venice Bitch, so I think something akin to LSD is still a decently reasonable possibility with her recent comments about collaborations with hip hop artists!

since the thread has been lacking news as of late, I think it could be fun to rank what our (possibly unrealistic) genre hopes are for LDR9–or any future project, really. Personally.. 1.) Shoegaze: 2.) Slowcore: 3.) Neo-Psychedelia 4.) Jazz 5.) Country Rock 6.) Electronic

Though I understand why some people enjoy this aspect of Black Bathing Suit, the vocal pitchy-ness of the verses kinda prevents me from really enjoying it. The opposite is how I feel about Beautiful: vocally (and sonically/melodically, really) I adore it. However, the lyrics—for me personally—detract from the listening experience despite me appreciating the sentiment behind it.

Something I personally find exciting is that most of the leaked songs that would realistically make a future record (such as LDR9) were included on Blue Banisters. While there are certainly a handful of leaked songs I wouldn’t be surprised to see in the future, it’s neat that—barring any new leaks—we’re likely to have a heavier ratio of unheard music! Off the top of my head, the only songs I could potentially imagine making a current, mature Lana record (even if reworked) include the following: SYTH, Fine China, French Restaurant, NLMG, and ITTJ. I’m sure there are more I’d add, but yeah! I guess you could tack on the Ally Coalition songs, too.
