  1. That would be a dream! I’ve noticed for months that so many people have been manifesting for a single/album release in June lol I fear it may have worked to some degree. we won
  2. If a magazine cover/interview is indeed on the way, I feel like she’s bound to mention LDR9 in some capacity. If an interview happened today, does anyone have a guess when we’d see it crop up in a magazine? I have no idea how that works lol
  3. Honestly, same! I know LFL was a really polarizing record, but I love imagining LDR9 as being similarly lighthearted and eclectic-sounding! I saw where a few people speculated that DNC could stand for “Death Never Came,” and I think that (if LDR9 is indeed a “transition” record according to insiders) that it would be a perfect title to usher in a new “trilogy” of records. Also, the idea of Lana having Born To Die->Lust For Life->Death Never Came feels so fitting to me lol. Death Never Came in general just sounds super reflective and past-tense-oriented (which is fairly aligned with her more diaristic tracks lately). Time will tell
  4. This photo reminds me so much of the one that was posted during Lana’s impeachment hex era LFL 2.0 incoming
  5. I always thought she was saying, “if you don’t pray, you’ll never learn—you know what I’m sayin’?” I have no idea about the rest. It almost sounds like, “I like leaving you here,” but not exactly. I’d love to get confirmation on the rest lol
  6. having interesting & unpredictable status updates (also fun games but someone already said that lol)
  7. asked an AI to generate images based off variations of “Del Norte County by Lana Del Rey” & other similar phrases I know it isn’t a confirmed title, but I’m bored, and it’s neat to look at! It feels very…cottagecore, almost lol.
  8. Cherry (Reprise)—sultry throwback incoming!
  9. Unrealistic but imagine if these more lively, unheard songs Jack mentioned are going to have arrangements from Erickson added & that’s why Lana posted photos of both of them Like, picture Cinnamon Girl/Venice Bitch/TJF/FIILY/Doin’ Time with orchestral elements. Is it likely? No. Will I keep dreaming? Yes
  10. What about a short lyric acronym then? No one would ever sue you over that; in fact, a different insider did it for White Dress!
  11. While I wasn’t terribly fond of the production of WFWF, I don’t think that single song would be representative of an entire Mike-produced record. If I had to guess, if Dean were to have produced all of Lana’s former record, I’d imagine that WFWF would have been the hope is a dangerous thing equivalent: stripped back, more lyric-centered, etc. In other words, I don’t think basing Mike Dean’s capability as a collaborator with Lana should be based off of one song—much less one of her most personal and confessional ones (if that makes any sense). But yeah, I’m still very iffy with the drums. It was an interesting creative choice if nothing else lol. Also, I totally agree about COCC. It’s so subtly powerful and engaging—potentially my favorite title track alongside BTD I wish we could’ve gotten at least 1 or 2 more songs from Dean and Lana’s work together. I’d be really interested what their Venice Bitch equivalent would sound like—maybe some day
  12. Imagine if we get a moment similar to the second verse of this song (where the video starts playing) on LDR9 I’d love a record that’s a blend of tracks like Is This Happiness x Oh Say Can You See x Religion x WFWF x Heroin x Old Money I feel like that dreamy, quiet atmosphere would transition pretty easily from the more subtle soundscape of Blue Banisters, and having Erickson add some live, orchestral arrangements to that general vibe would be lovely tbh
  13. I could be completely wrong, but wasn’t it @lanadelrey ?? Their impact!!!
  14. DNC out in July & LDR10 is already in the works at the studio—we won (this is a joke before anyone attacks me lol)
  15. This is more an ongoing mental convo I have with myself and not remotely directed at anyone, but I feel like it’s probably relevant for this thread lol: Something I have to remind myself is that music taste (art in general, really) is 100% subjective, and that doesn’t even include how different the interpretation of a song’s intended purpose can be. One person may view a spur-of-the-moment artistic choice as sloppy, while someone else may find it natural and raw. Lyrics that seem profound to one may seem pretentious to another, and lyrics that seem immature to one user may feel honest and concise to a different one. We can talk about music with superficially placed standards (originality, adherence to societally deemed “good writing,” etc.), but whether someone likes or relates to it is largely out of one’s control. Disagreeing with an opinion is 100% ok, but asserting one’s own opinion as a fact of reality isn’t really fair or even sensible, really. We (hopefully) wouldn’t shame someone for loving/not liking a certain smell because its perception is subjective, so let’s have thoughtful convos about Lana’s lyricism, production, etc. without tearing others down
  16. I take insider info with a very tiny grain of salt, but here’s the general vibe I’m getting based off the descriptions we’ve heard so far mostly because I’m bored lol (hazy, north Cali, dreamy, psychedelic, beachy, similar to BR/MAC/VB/WFWF)
  17. Beautiful walking in seeing it made half of the lists in this thread (no shade if you enjoy it though—music taste is subjective lol)
  18. I guess I’ll only include album tracks (BTD->BB) for simplicity: song fav: White Dress best: Get Free least fav: Guns And Roses (honestly no negative feelings toward it but I literally never play it) worst: Beautiful album fav: NFR best: can’t choose between Honeymoon & NFR so removing this one lol least fav: Blue Banisters worst: Blue Banisters
  19. in before Interlude - The Trio was foreshadowing for LDR9 being a LFL situation where we have piano ballads, outlaw country, and hip hop on the same record Lana’s western trap ballad magnum opus featuring Migos, Nikki Lane, Kali Uchis, and Rob incoming!!!
  20. What about a Mike-Dean-produced synth album with hazy string arrangements by Erickson. Jack Antonoff and Dawes having writing credits. Everyone wins (I think?)
  21. downAtTheSantaAnitaRacetrack White Dress Pt. II incoming
  22. I still have hopes this could happen some day. I would like to see it
  23. LB users opening this thread to PlantGate after seeing it was designated *Hot* due to activity
