This IG post from Dua is a reference about Albania. So Dua’s parents are from Kosovo. The majority of the population of Kosovo are Albanians. Kosovo borders Albania.
 
Ethnically speaking Kosovo is Albanian and in terms of religion most of the population is Muslim.
 
Kosovo used to be part of Serbia until 2008. Not every country recognizes Kosovo as a sovereign state. Dua was mentioning this in an earlier post complaining that Apple doesn’t recognize Kosovo on their maps.
 
Before Serbia became independent, it was part of Yugoslavia which was a communist state. Today all those countries are independent. However Albania was never part of Yugoslavia.
 
I’m not sure what Dua is trying to say, but some could say it’s nationalistic. I don’t know if that’s her intention. The geopolitics is that region is messy. My guess is she is probably pushing back against Serbia’s claim on Kosovo. Serbia claims that Kosovo is a breakaway region that is supposed to be part of Serbia. However that claim is nationalistic too.

I wouldn’t worry about anything because I believe this will be another great album from Lana. I don’t think she can release a weak record, even if she tried to. She is just that good. So I for one think this will be a great record.
 
However I’m not sure the album will drop on September 5. If no single comes out before the end of this month, then maybe we will have to wait until October or November for the album to come out, but it is coming soon. The poetry book and audiobook is also on the agenda so I don’t know how many things at once Lana and her team will want to juggle.
 
I think this will actually feel like a folk record. Lana will write about the themes she loves, but let’s keep in mind her biggest musical inspirations come from folk music.

There is a conspiracy theory that airplanes release chemtrails as a way of controlling people through dropping these Chemtrails. The issue of Chemtrails is addressed in the recent seasons of The X Files and Stephen King’s The Mist. I think with this title that Lana will be playing on how this society believes things that are not true and how misinformation and conspiracy theories spread of social media. I think she will continue to reflect on these issues of contemporary American life.

This record will likely be more stripped down. Considering that Jack Antonoff just produced a Country record for The Chicks, it won’t be a stretch to see Lana going full on folk music with Jack. This record could be very Crosby Still and Nash inspired.

It's best she doesn't use her platform for politics, imo. Not only are political views private (like @@AlexParliament said), she'll be dragged by conspiracy theorists no matter who she supports.

I think Lana is likely a Democrat. The times she has discussed politics she has supported Democratic Party positions such as access to birth control and abortion rights.
 
So I certainly feel she is liberal on social issues; supporting women’s rights issues, immigrant rights, LGBT rights etc. I don’t know where she stands on fiscal policy and foreign policy issues. She has never said anything about that.
 
I like how she doesn’t always talk about politics. I’m cool with celebrities discussing politics but don’t overdo it. Some really get carried away and it gets to be too much. Lana doesn’t do this. Never takes it too far.
 
Anyone who understands Lana will understand she leans left. She doesn’t have to tell you. She is in the business to make music. She isn’t hear to be a politician.
 
I kind of feel that your politics is your business. Having said that I’m a democrat and I support Joe Biden. Obviously Lana is opposed to Trump so we know she is voting for Biden.

Lana doesn’t strike me as someone who believes in conspiracy theories. I think playing on the Chemtrails theory is something she will have fun with as it will confuse people. I think she enjoys creating a mystery which I can totally relate to.

Serbia won’t be able to join the EU as long as the Kosovo conflict exists, the EU-counties don’t even agree on Kosovo and it’s unlikely they’ll reach a consensus before Serbia does, it’s kind of a North Macedonia issue but without one part of it in the EU already. The only exception is Cyprus and that’s only because there’s little to no chance of any EU member ever acknowledging Northern Cyprus as legitimate.
 
while yeah dua lives in the uk i doubt their politics have much to do with this. with her being part of the balkan diaspora it doesn’t surprise me that she’s very “connected” to her ancestral home but yeah whatever concept of “greater” *any south eastern european country* is kind of a bit of a messy concept and shouldnt have been posted by her, there’s other ways to support kosovo if she wants to do that (which she obviously seems to be trying to achieve)
