i agree with you sooo much. how Melanie's fanbase and the entire internet has treated a potential victim just because she accused their favourite artist is horrible. it really shows the kind of people they are. as a Melanie fan Timothy's accusations need to be taken more seriously and it disgusts me how Melanie's fans choose to harass someone who could've suffered assault instead of questioning Melanie and pushing her to speak out

Melanie was literally making songs in 2015 talking about serious topics such as abusing and plastic surgery with a childish aesthetic that was used to represent that in a person's childhood, their view of the world and the things around they influence for the rest of his life, and is also the moments where traumas and insecurities arise saying to her fans that they weren't alone and that she understood them, most people said that she was sexualizing children and glamorizing these topics, when she never did that to "sexualize" children and was very careful with talking about those topics. Then we are in 2021, and Megan The Stallion releases a song called Cry Baby with extreme sexual connotation with a clip going on in a toy store and she is clearly sexualizing childish things, but everyone started to applaud her even though she is made those things. This is sadly the world we're living in.

it could be because she's promoing this character, but I definitely agree. I remember her 2019 birthday post was very fucking normal and was her thanking her fans for birthday wishes and now it's this word salad mess... still love her and wish her happy birthday but damn she went off the deep end...

But why register it with all the other PORTALS songs, I think it could be released as a single at somepoint

i really do hope the next album will have no concept, just a reoccurring theme throughout the tracks (without being repetetive) 

Portals is the final act for Cry Baby’s story (hence the pink alien spirit reincarnation thing). After this I really hope she comes back with no alter ego, we need some rest and I miss her face too.

I ranked the album :

(And I really like Nymphology) I adore Faerie Soirée & Light Shower, the dirty dry and electric guitars fits Melanie's voice and melodies so heavenly (Light Shower reminds me Watercolor Eyes and I love it), this songs are sonically sophisticated and "mature". Leeches got all my attention for its structure, the melody is cleverly bitter-sweet. The production of Evil is so good, it sounds like a 90's-Buffy's-Bronze-Club garage band mastering that gives to this track a great vibe. And I love the rocky-revenge sound of Void.
I listened this album on a long ride and I didn't skipped anything.
The only thing I don't like in this era is Powder.
