  1. 11 out of 11 songs on Chemtrails over the Country Club have guitars.
  2. What if LDR9 is the dark and foggy sister of NFR and it is about NorCal (parallel to NFR being about SoCal) and NC from DNC stands for Northern California. After all we know there might be some songs about San Francisco.
  3. Just a thought about Nectar, LL, CB transition: In Nectar of the Gods, we see she is lost and trying to find her way. The only instrument is guitar. In Living Legend, her legend helps her to find her way. There is guitar and piano. The guitar is still the wild lost Lana, piano sounds more stable and it is her living legend training her. In Cherry Blossom, she becomes the voice that gives advice and becomes someone else’s living legend. Now the only instrument is piano and that’s her.
  4. I remember her sharing a picture of tracklist where the album tilte saying Lost for Life where "o" is crossed out and replaced with "u". Maybe that represents how the overall concept for the album has changed.
  5. Madonna said there are Frozen remixes coming with special guests...if only...
  6. Let the Light In

    Madonna

I see Madonna's Swim and Lana's Swan Song so similar in terms of meaning. Both talks about leaving this world and starting a new life. On one hand they are hopeful, they talk about how we can begin a new life again. But if you look deep enough, they are dark and can actually be considered s*icidal. "We can't carry these sins on our back, we're gonna carry this train off the track, we're gonna swim to the ocean floor, crash to the other shore" "Let's leave the world for the ones who change everything...dive in, dive deep in dark blue suede..say good night to the life in the world we live, I'm going to follow you"
  7. If Rick Nowels is back, manifesting this energy from him again
  8. Heroin-Change-Get Free is her best trio and best closing. The story telling is just immaculate. It elevates the whole album to another level. “I hope that I come back one day to tell you that I really changed” “Change is a powerful thing, I feel it coming in me… whenever it comes, I’ll be here for it.” “Finally, I'm crossing the threshold from the ordinary world to the reveal of my heart… I wanna move out of the black, into the blue”
  9. I always think it's the latter one but there could always be other interpretations as you mention. In this scene, we see how people surrounding her show their love to her through their care so she's now sure that her husband loves her (or people of her country love her as the song itself has double entendre) . As she's dying, she took this care and love by surprise, we can see it in the following lines: "Why are you at my side? How can I be any use to you now?"
  10. I would choose album full of Prettiest Girl in Country Music-like songs over album full of Watercolor Eyes-like songs to be honest.
  11. Completely agree. The artist himself looks like the perfect choice for NFR!, but he has so many other good artworks that could work better
  12. I agree that it has poor mixing and makes it less enjoyable. Mixing is an extremely important stage and should not be overlooked.
  13. Actually "Loved You Then and Now" was originally a part of the COCC tracklist as posted by the Electric Lady Studios. Then Blue Banisters was announced as "Rock Candy Sweet", and then album was postponed and it was retitled as Blue Banisters. We learned that Loved You Then and Now is actually Rock Candy Sweet or vice versa.
  14. Well it sounds like he has intentions to release those songs someday.
  15. I know she has used the phrase "cruel world" numerous times in her songs but I would like to hear the original lyrics of Cruel World (?) "let the light in, it's a cruel world" somewhere.
  16. Does anyone know under which label this song is going to be released? Also does anyone know or any theories about how she met with Nasri Tony Atweh and decided to work on this particualr song, it came out of blue.
  17. To be fair, "You made me trade my violets for roses" lyrics were already leaked through merch. They also said Black Bathing Suit is like High by the Beach if I remember correcly.
  18. It's beautiful how this deep normality settles down over me! Happy birthday
  19. If you think Beautiful is a beatiful surf rock song then you can continue to believe lusforlife. I defended him before BB release but now I feel like a clown.
