  1. 1. Born to Die 2. Did you Know that there's a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard 3. Ultraviolence 4. Norman Fucking Rockwell 5. Chemtrails over the Country Club 6. Lust for Life 7. Honeymoon 8. Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass 9. Blue Banisters
  2. Peppers isn't really radio friendly and poppish that much, which is why it wasn't released as a single and no one knows about it
  3. Was just listening to High by the Beach. Does anyone think Lana will ever release a straight-up pop song ala High, Doin' Time, Summertime Sadness, Love, etc?
  4. let 'em you gay? Can you DM your IG please? Need to see more (that should annoy them even more )
  5. I just want something more upbeat after a slow record and even slower Rob Grant collabs. But being that it's the last song on the record, it'll probably be another piano ballad (yawn heard in space).
  6. the Anyma remix is gorgeous. I how I wish Lana did a full album of electronica. I would be in heaven.
  7. wasn't lfl #1 on Billboard? And got nominated for best vocal pop album. A "flop" that spawned some of her biggest hits in Love and Lust for Life. Also, do you have to be a skank and call me "team delulu" when I'm taking time out of my life to respond to your thread? if you only want to hear yourself, go talk to a mirror, not a forum. Those collabs definitely help. the problem is they put her down as pop so she's gonna go against the likes of miley and taylor and other big sellers
  8. Lana is not mainstream now more than she was when she made Born to Die. She was also more mainstream during Lust for Life when she dropped a song with the Weekend, who's massive. They screwed her over both times. She also had best-album-of-the-year with NFR, and they screwed her over again. She's just not a cash cow for them and she doesn't do brown-nosing around the industry and suck dick. Therefore, it'll never happen. Maybe if she had a single or two on the Billboard 100 and proved her commercial success more. Also, no one cares about the Grammy's except the Grammy's themselves and people who have money riding on it. Literally, fuck the Grammy's.
  9. AW didn't really chart much and it's a song about whoring. I don't think the Grammy's will go near it. They reward safe choices like Taylor Swift's music. If they campaign for best alternative album, they'll probably get a nomination. But the award will go to someone else who makes more money. The Grammy's are a business reward. It's not about the music. So, I don't think Lana will ever get anything. Not until she starts shaking her ass and showing her tits and starts making music like "Bejeweled" or "Wrecking Ball." Sorry babe but this dream is a no-go
  10. I like the song. But it was her most bizarre choice of song to get the MV treatment since... she started her career 😂 In a way, she's lucky it didn't accumulate 7 views with how depressing the song is AW OB And Let the light in shoulda got MVs. Although I would have trimmed AW down to 4 minutes to guarantee success. AW could have been a hot cinematic video with her vaping and sleeping with all these different men in hotels and then murdering them, tongue n cheek. Woulda made such a powerful statement after all her masochistic content OB coulda been a simple Burning Desire video with her singing in a lounge bar, intercut with clips of the ocean and Ocean Boulevard. And Let the Light in could have been a cinematic love story with her and FJM. We coulda got so much content
  11. yea god please. We only have a handful of these songs and they're so god damn good i still cant believe she never releases ridin'
  12. grunge vb? Clearly you don't know what grunge music is
  13. another album with 10 piano ballads is clearly on the way. Mega boring
  14. Loving the love for Rocky! Seems that he's winning the poll too. As for wether they're still friends, I'd like to think so. Though they probably dont hang out as much given his family situation. it's fantastic that she has him (and Rihanna by proxy) as an ally. That can go a long way in a crazy industry. hope they make more songs. They are fire together
  15. What's up, Lana Boards! Time to evaluate some of Lana's frequent collaborators. 'm wondering which collab was better in your opinion - Abel or Rocky? To recap, the songs they made together are: The Weeknd: 1. Prisoner 2. Stargirl Interlude 3. Lust for Life + video 4. Party Monster 5. Money Power Glory (remix) ASAP Rocky 1. Ridin' (scrapped) 2. Summer Bummer 3. Groupie Love 4. National Anthem (video only) As much as I love her work with the Weeknd and how much they complement each other, I find her work with Rocky to be way more interesting. I love Ridin' and can't believe it was never released! As for Summer Bummer, that was a double punch that I never expected to happen and whilst I didn't quite appreciate SB when it came out, it now stands as one of the rare Lana Del Rey bangers, which none of the Abel songs were. I listen to it at the gym all the time. Also, Groupie Love is a perfect little Lana ballad, especially thematically. It fits the Manson vibe and sixties aesthetic of the album perfectly. While it doesn't reach the heights of Lust for Life, it's got charm in spade. What does everyone here think? I'm also adding a poll so we can see what song(s) are your favs.
  16. candy necklace is not sonically interesting. As good as that song is. It's just lana and a piano with some strings - we heard it all before
  17. yeah but his beats on AW were dope. So he definitely has it in him. also, didnt he produce bejewelled and other taylor poppy stuff? I want that with lana candy necklace is not sonically interesting. As good as that song is. It's just lana and a piano with some strings - we heard it all before
  18. Huh? Fishtail is super depressing and Peppers's beat doesn't begin to compare to the Born to Die beats. The closest we got on OB was Taco but even that has 2 mins of sonic depression before the beat drops. Surely you can notice a difference between songs like Summertime Sadness and Fishtail? Just because they both have a beat of sorts, doesn't make them both bangers.
  19. This, please. 🙏🏻 Three sad albums and feeling "super suicidal" was enough. A bit of energy, Lanita, por favor. Something we can shake our booties too. And not only 2 mins of Jimmy Jimmy cocoa puff - we want the real deal. Bangers like Off to the Races, Doin' Time, Blue Jeans, High by the Beach, Summer Bummer, Summertime Sadness, National Anthem... Beat-drvem songs you can dance to are my favorite of hers but they're truly truly the rarest kind of Lana song. And it feels like she's been too depressed to produce any and keep herself in the realm of pop. Three albums without them (Chemtrails, BB, OB), four if you count Violet, and I'm on my last breath. Alt Lana is great, but pop Lana was so much fun! Is she really gone-gone? 😫
  20. could this be a sequel to Ocean Boulevard with some of the songs we know were scrapped? Like a Paradise ep style addition? That would be iconic.
  21. sure sounds like it! Maybe he'll re-release her old stuff. one things for sure - i aint giving her my phone number with charges that may apply. fuck that
  22. For me, Antonoff produced some of her greatest work ever, mainly: Venice Bitch Norman Fucking Rockwell! Mariner's Apartment Complex A&W The Greatest Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Boulevard White Dress Happiness is a Butterfly Chemtrails Over the Country Club Taco Truck x VB The problem is, he has a particular style, he's very acoustic, musical and mellow, and we know what to expect. With the exception of VB and AW where they went full-on experimental jamming. All the albums have clearly been produced by him in a similar style and there's little reinvention in the way of sound. Comparatively, Born to Die was super pop, Ultra was super rock, LFL went hip-hop, Honeymoon went into jazz. I just feel like we won't get surprises like that anymore. For the 10th album, I'm cool if it's Jack if she loves working with him so much. But can they take things into a new direction? Maybe a retro disco album like her Hollywood unreleased track? Or house music ala Beyonce and Drake? Or electonic pop Mark Ronson style.... Just a surprise sound would be nice. Not another piano ballad as a lead single and then 10 more of those on the record... That's what's boring.
  23. my point is very clear. Lana's worked with the same producer(s) for a number of years and it'd be great if she mixed things up a little.
  24. she said he rearranged it to put the main chorus where it is now. It was the pre-chorus apparently. Sth like that
