  1. Sweet is surprisingly my favorite! Reminds me of when I rediscovered Lana with NFR. I was a BTD stan in college but then I sort of lost track of her. I heard about all this acclaim for NFR and started listening to the album. The second that Love Song came on I was hooked. Lana’s tender moments really seem to draw me in.
  2. So I just ordered the yellow vinyl from the French store to ship to the US. Do you guys think there’s any chance I’ll ever receive it? 🙃
  3. Every single CD at my store was also SMASHED. It looks like somebody beat them with a baseball bat. Didn’t buy a single copy.
  4. Wait is that finsta page real? Lol
  5. I’m fairly certain this has been her plan all along. Remember during COCC she talked about knowing where she needed to go as an artist, but that it was going to be very hard to do? That, along with the line “not from the land of the palms so I know I can’t stay here / I’m not native,” leads me to believe that she’s going to leave LA and commit to a quiet simple life somewhere in the middle of North America and just focus on her art. I’m sure Joan Baez has been a real mentor to her during this process.
  6. This is honestly upsetting. The LEAST she could do after telling her fans a whole album is coming is give them an honest update that it’s delayed. I know she’s trying some new approach where she doesn’t communicate with the masses anymore after getting hurt and embittered by the media, but what about the loyal fans who deeply love and support her? She knows they’re eagerly awaiting the new music and it’s straight up rude not to offer them a quick update. I’m unfollowing her because I’m so disappointed. I’m going to enjoy my old Lana vinyl and appreciate her artistry, but I’m not going to follow someone who pretends like the people who made her successful don’t even exist anymore. She’s clearly trying to reshape her relationship to fame (perhaps she doesn’t want it anymore), but at least be a smart businessperson about it. Wishing you all (and Lana) nothing but happiness. Looking forward to enjoying the new music when it arrives. At this point, the social media saga of the album’s release will taint my enjoyment of the music and I don’t want that to be the case when the album finally comes. Also—these power hungry insiders are so gross. Stop empowering them in Lana’s absence. They’ve been reliable at times, but I guarantee you that most of their “news” is vague conjecture and that they don’t know much until Lana actually has materials that are ready for release. This is not a farewell to Lana post (I still love her), I’m just changing the way I interact with her. This current situation feels a little toxic.
  7. I honestly think the reason she’s pushing this selfie cover out there is to FORCE the critics and magazines to admit that she is authentic and not an industry product. I appreciate her honesty if the criticism affects her this deeply, but I kind of wish her artistic identity wasn’t becoming solely a reaction to what critics have said about her in the past. Looking forward to hearing her message on the whole album, though.
  8. Honestly this is her best album. 100%. Surpasses NFR by miles, IMO. <3
  9. WHAT IS THE MEN IN MUSIC BUSINESS CONFERENCE? WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?!
  10. COCC > HM > NFR > L4L > BTD > UV Don’t think anyone will agree with my ranking, but it’s how I feel ?
  11. For everyone saying they don’t understand how the album title reflects the album, I think it fits perfectly. I don’t think Chemtrails are supposed to be ominous—they’re just an image. I think they represent freedom/flight/wanderlust over (literally) a complacent, normal life. And that’s what the album’s about, lol.
