If the album is sonically and melodically similar to stripped-down stuff like Disco, For K Part 2, Pawn Shop Blues, Yayo, Oh Say Can You See, Bad Disease, A Star for Nick, Change, Kintsugi, Wild At Heart, Dance Till We Die, Marilyn, and the first half of A&W, it's going to be my favourite Lana record ever, lol.

For some reason every time i see “Henry, come on” I can’t help but sing in the most exaggerated country accent “I meean come awnn”

I can’t (I can) believe she’s going to drag this release out even longer  like she literally just posted a picture of herself with lyrics from a 14 month old snippet she is so ODD-coded

We probably won't get a music video for Henry I guess but I would love if we get visualizers instead at least. The photo is gorgeous and imagine we get some shots from the set as a visualizer at least for Youtube and the streaming services, she could also act a bit so her expressios fit the mood of the song
I wish she did that for Ocean Blvd title track and A&W (though we got the interview magazine video which slayed, ate me alive and left no crumbs)

I was also thinking that a lot of Lana’s “first singles” don’t tend to be the “lead single” in a way or the most memorable track.

LFL love vs lust for life.
NFR mariners apt complex vs VB
COTCC let me love you like a woman vs COTCC or even white dress (I know the latter was not a lead or first singles)
    Ocean Blvd DYKTIATUOB vs A&W

i guess my point is Henry may be slow and “boring” but it doesn’t dictate the next single and/or the entire album.

Lana's best work is her "emptiest" or her "slowest" to ME so

I hope that's the point of the song and she leaves his ass

Pantene basically told us the same thing that BOZ just posted: "Henry, Come On" doesn't quite make sense as a lead single (remember Pantene saying that it's like picking "Change" as the lead of Lust for Life?), but Lana always releases singles that are quite uncommercial ("The Grants", "Venice Bitch", "hope is a dangerous thing", the "Blue Banisters" triplets etc.) and deep-cut album tracks almost always end up being far more successful streaming-wise and/or going viral ("Cinnamon Girl", "Margaret", "Let the Light In", "Paris, Texas", "Happiness is a butterfly", "Dealer", "Art Deco" etc.), lol. This song obviously means a lot to her, and Lana always does her own thing, so why not? Let her cook. If anything, it'll make me even more curious about the sound of the rest of the songs, given that this one apparently is one of the most stripped-back tracks of the album. Besides, I think that the snippet has a gorgeous melody, so bring it on.
