    Song vs. Song

    California vs Heroin
  15. This is the exact reason why I can’t listen to The Grants, Kintsugi and Fingertips. I can’t deal with them. I can recognise The Grants has a beautiful melody (probably the best from the album) but the other two are too much complex so I can’t give an opinion. Aside those three and the interludes, title track is the only one I skip from the album, even though I’m still trying to like Fishtail
  16. My questions are: 1. what is a “cinematic” writing? Can you give me examples please? 2. why do people say Lana’s writing has changed? Can you give examples please? 3. what is “world building”? Can you give me examples (I just feel like Blue Banisters title song, for example, also builds a world and therefore is cinematic )
  17. No… I dislike some songs like the already mentioned Breaking Up Slowly and For Free. I actually usually don’t like her songs with other people because I always feel like they would be better with Lana alone. Like BPBP - that song is perfect for Lana’s low tone and then she puts stevie nick’s voice which I’m not a huge fan of (I actually find it ugly and it seems like she inspired helium gas)

    Get free vs cinnamon girl
  22. On the verse she uses a tone lower than the one used in the recorded song, kinda btd-ish, and then she goes very high with the pre chorus. Sou beautiful
  23. I’m kinda jealous, here in Rio we also requested Cinnamon Girl and she ignored it
  24. She’s really feeling sick and needs to take a puff
