  4. Decided to pick my top 5 streamed songs from each of Lana’s albums via Stats.FM That app in particular provides a lot more information than my Last.FM account (e.g. Stats.FM gets data from your Spotify account's streaming history which I started using at the start of 2018 vs. only started scrobbling on Last.FM in the beginning of 2020 so there is a two year discrepancy) I've arranged the list from most to least streamed songs and provided their play counts. I enjoyed doing this @Blackestday x CN, I love analytical stuff like this lol: Without You (79) Summertime Sadness (73) Mariners Apartment Complex (67) Ride (67) American (66) Beautiful People Beautiful Problems (63) Video Games (60) Brooklyn Baby (56) Art Deco (55) Black Beauty (52) Money Power Glory (52) Tomorrow Never Came (51) Happiness is a butterfly (50) Guns And Roses (48) Sad Girl (47) Lucky Ones (47) Summer Bummer (46) Blue Banisters (45) Dark Paradise (43) Venice Bitch (43) White Dress (40) Dealer (39) Norman fucking Rockwell (38) Get Free (36) Living Legend (35) In My Feelings (35) Fuck it I love you (34) The Blackest Day (34) Let Me Love You Like A Woman (34) Chemtrails Over The Country Club (33) Cherry Blossom (31) If You Lie Down With Me (31) Terrence Loves You (30) High By The Beach (29) Wild At Heart (27) Not All Who Wander Are Lost (27) Honeymoon (27) Gods & Monsters (25) Blue Velvet (15) Cola (12)
  5. Thank you! And that’s very true. Sometimes my brain just gets dizzy trying to comprehend some of Lana’s lyrics, like when she keeps alternating between young and restless + young and reckless on Candy Necklace
  6. Omg how could I forget about that one, it's perfect

  8. Since Ethel seems to be a big fan of prince (like myself) I thought it would be fun to think of which songs of from his discography she should cover. I Would Die 4 U - Lyrics remind me of the scrapped concept of having Ethel’s character initially be a preacher/cult leader. Otherworldly and cathartic Anna Stesia - She would absolutely obliterate this. The song is in a similar vein to Ptolemaea (eerie and aggressive, demonic voices chanting) with elements of electric guitar from Family Tree Sometimes It Snows In April - I’m convinced that this song is musically tethered to Sun Bleached Flies The Cross - Similar to Thoroughfare where it has a slow and steady buildup at first, but ends up having an explosive conclusion at the end I Wish U Heaven - Self-explanatory, v cute. A ‘happier’ version of Strangers I would say lol The Ladder - The gospel vibes are off the chart With You - Idk but it’s giving me Ethel x Willoughby. Sweet, pure and lovely Purple Rain - An obvious but classic choice nonetheless Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
  9. Hot, but only Lana's verse on a 3 minute loop Next song: Tulsa Jesus Freak

  14. But daddy, I miss them I'm at the Roadrunner Cafe Probably running away from the feelings today In the snow-capped mountains of the desert Daddy, I miss them I'm in the mountains Probably running away, I've been meaning to say That there's nothing to do except know that this is How the light gets in
  15. Love the idea behind this thread. My aptly titled song in question: Very nostalgic, it reminds me of a time when I was younger and excited for what was to come for my future This song makes me wanna jump around and yell the chorus until I'm out of breath. The vocal part at 2:00 - 2:05 always made me ascend What song do you just absolutely cry your heart out to when you're sad?
  16. Commenting on this barely alive thread just to say that the transition from Night Time, My Time to Downhill Lullaby is immaculate. Thank you and good night
