What did you guys think of Lana's face during Billie's speech, I think she was kinda upset haha -
You keep bringing the proposal thing and it's making me anxious, this is NOT going to be her man, I refuse to believe it

I mean, Lizzo did it with a push from a huge performance. Lana could do it by making a huge good ass mainstream video, since she doesn't perform on live tv and her shows are not that exciting for the general public. I mean, the last time Lana could have had a hit was with the release of the Love video, the video on its own had a lot of views but then it died after she didn't promote the song at all in any form. Songs as beautiful as MAC that go somewhere do at least have a video as beautiful as the song, our girl Lana only lives for doing collages with homevideos just for the sake of keeping a vibe... it's not what the song deserves but she makes enough money this way so it doesn't matter

I hope it's a Love Song video, I think that with the right video the song could become a hit but it's christmas so I don't if the timing is right... Where can I see the chart position? -
I just realized this song is about her teacher, oh mr Campbell

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread

fucking yes! The california fires above all was what it did it for me. I know at first sight the covers seems not Lana at all you guys, but it's in the details that bummersummer said above you can really appreciate and respect that some work has been put into making it. "So each morning I have the luxury of asking myself, "What shall I cook up for the kids today? Something with a little spice? Something with a little bitterness but is ultimately sweet? Or shall I take the day off and turn down the fire, and just take a moment to send my love to them over the ether?" Because sometimes just being pure of heart, and having good intentions, and letting them be known is the most worthy contribution an artist can make. So, even though these times can feel a little bit crazy, they're not so very different from what other generations have experienced at one time or another before. Amidst all the uncertainty, and as we transition out of one era into another one, there's no place I'd rather be than smack-dab in the middle of 'Hollyweird' making this record for you. Because you and the music, and this place are my love, my light, and my lust for life" -
this is the most melodic she's been in like... three album cycles ??? since Paradise, I think

Hot also, am I the only one who wants to do an anime choreography to the chorus? ugh

I'm obsessed with her, I loved El Mal Querer and I love everysong in it but nanana, I still can't really appreciate it tbh. I'm dying for Lo Presiento to be released, I feel the studio version it's going to be a hundred times better. And lastly, speaking facts, the best version we've got both visually and sonically of De Madrugá is the Plaza Colon version in Madrid I C O N I C Ps: didn't like Con Altura, really basic song, Brillo was so much better that in comparison Con Altura sounds half baked. Still, Rosalia has not failed with the visuals this era, a legend trying to go top of the top!

I guess the reason why I feel the energy of all the songs she's teased so far, so much, is because of the heartfelt lyricism. Even if Venice Bitch is not that deep and even though I didn't really connect with Sylvia Plath's acapella, MAC, Happiness Is A Butterfly, Cinnamon, How To Dissapear and now Hey Baby Blue and Stupid For Feeling So Happy, they all remind me of her acoustic songs from her Lizzy days in the sense that's she's trying to be a poet/writer more than a building up a great composition for the songs. Don't get me wrong, Jack's production has been amazing so far with all the delivered tracks, they are amazing even when the songs are not trying to sound grandiose like BTD songs did, or raw like UV was, or cinematic like Honeymoon, or whatever LFL's vibe was(no tea, no shade, i luv all my baes), they're trying to reach out to the listener with the lyrics and the chill vibe we've all been loving sonically. I'm so glad Lana's taking this direction and hope she keeps the same energy for when we finally listen to the whole album <3 -
