  1. Did we already clear if the song is Sweet Caroline or Sweet CarolinA? Because now Rob posted about recording the song and he named it Sweet CarolinE
  2. why nobody told me Mr Campbell was 22 and she was 15 omg “When I was 15, I had this teacher called Gene Campbell, who is still my good friend,” begins Lana. “In boarding school, to become a teacher you don’t have to have a Masters. I was 15 and he was 22, out of Georgetown. He was young, and at school you were allowed to take trips out at the weekends. On our driving trips around the Connecticut counties, he introduced me to Nabokov, (Allen) Ginsberg, (Walt) Whitman, and even Tupac and Biggie. He was my gateway to inspirational culture. Those inspirations I got when I was 15 are still my only inspirations. I draw from that same well. It’s one world I dip into to create other worlds. Like this philosopher Josiah Royce once said: ‘Without the roots, you can’t have any fruits.’” https://www.clashmusic.com/features/american-dreamer-lana-del-rey-interviewed In my mind he was like 45 or something lmao
  3. they're full of shit. Most of the time their insiders are just people that DM them saying X Y stuff, that then deuxmoi posts in their story as R U M O R S So meh. But sometimes Deuxmoi is paid to promote certain narratives by the teams of certain artists. But I don't think Lana's team would do something like that. Most of the real rumors sorrounding Lana get started on IG by fan accounts, not some faux shit santa claus like Deuxmoi. Deuxmoi is just a woman (I think they're a team now since they became so big) that got stan famous/credibility/stuck around because of dumb 1D stans back when that band was still together, and other fandoms
  4. The HMV cover is my favorite https://store.hmv.com/store/music/cd/blue-banisters-(hmv-exclusive)-alternative-artwork
  5. I'm a lost little girl finding my way to ya
  6. Saying this song will be the next Video Games is a bold statement. I hope it lives up to it. But maam, to bring up this level of expectation She's setting me up
  7. This video was such a strange thing to watch. You could see the song in her eyes. Almost feels altogether like this is something I wasn't meant to see. Definitely what was on my mind, I started singing it too haha This was my favorite part. The angry disdain in which she throws the clothes around, and just in the way she takes her clothes in so many ways. There's something about recording yourself taking off your clothes knowing you're being recorded. People will think you're being erotic, like in a porn. But I think Lana's actually taking us inside her state of mind. Taking your clothes off is just something you actually do. Like when you wanna jump into the pool, when you're going to sweat doing house chores like doing the laundry, when you wanna feel fresh while lazing around. And all those things are ok, but when you're not fine, like when you are writing poems about suicide, or the meaning of your life, and you slowly become crazier, you simply just don't care about it. And I see that in her eyes. She looks straight to the camera as if saying "I know you're watching me, but you won't get the meaning of why". The shot while she says "it's the most famous woman you know on the iPad, calling from beyond the grave, I just wanna say hi dad" and she sets up the camera like we're her dad watching her and answering the call. Ugh, her mind. She has so many strong visions during the video, I just kept thinking "let me record this with you, this other angle would be so good", but I understand why it's a low-budget video recorded by herself, this is the song for it. Why taint it like that? A big headline for a couple of days on a clickbait article where no one really cares. Yes, no thanks. There wasn't any other way. Also, running up the stars with the video upside down is another moment with a strong metaphor for her mind being twisted up. So many great shots. I believe choosing to release this right now isn't a big sign of anything, it's just what she has said many times already. She's gonna keep staying true to herself. She was doing that more than 11 years ago. She's going to keep doing that. No matter who, no matter what. And of course she looked glamorous while laying down, that is a classic LDR shot But also, the speaken outro by Jack. The song's actually ending, and she's actually on the floor. The video is ending, the dream is about to end. How will you know she was real? Ugh, I just love this so much!
  8. This is still one of her most fun songs. The lyrics are so smitten
  9. This song is so fun! I just got reminded of it bc a friend asked if I knew about this guy with Gnecco as his last name
  10. Queen of harmonies! It's nice tho, a sweet song. I don't mind it that much, but I do wish she found a musical partner she could actually duet with. She could be iconic like that
