I somehow only just heard about this today, from radio coverage of the trail. The absolute evil in the hearts of the murders who plotted to kill her, stabbed her brutally 28 times, who sent messages saying they wanted to know if "it would scream like a man or a woman" ... sickens me, it's just beyond disgusting Honestly, hearing about it today gave me pretty horrid PTSD. That's why I try to stay away from the news as much as it's probably a bad thing. I'm not trans but I am bi, and around 13 years ago in my little city in the U.K. myself and two friends got attacked by a bunch of teenagers because we were two girls holding hands (we were 13 at the time). A group of about 15 of them threw rocks at us continually, it hit my friends head and she started bleeding, so we had to run away and call an ambulance. Luckily nothing worse happened but the police did nothing. This was in daytime and unprovoked. Even though these people had plans to kill others I have no doubt that the murder of poor Brianna was motivated by hatred in their heart for trans people ... I have experienced first hand that the U.K. is NOT safe for the LGBTQ+ community ... despite what anyone else tries to say. Anyway, it disgusts me that in the U.K., a supposedly progressive country, these kind of crimes of violence against trans + queer people are STILL happening. I don't have words for it. RIP Brianna

I would really love for Lana to embrace the Emmylou Harris type of Americana country rock plus ethereal singing. I could see her going the 70s country rock way, potentially. Plus I'd love visuals that served Western looks with cowboy boots, lassos (obviously), and guns (Annie Oakley style), 70s-style prairie dresses, maybe with some high slits ...

These are the only country songs I know minus Jolene and Tulsa Queen which were already posted, and Stand By Your Man. I'm British so I don't know much about country music ... As you can tell, I really love Emmylou Harris

I do think Lana will win a main category this time around (I hope I don't eat my words). They didn't even mention Lana in any of their category analysis (apart from the Producer one for Jack) ... the absolute disrespect to not even acknowledge A&W It's like they think she's not even worthy of talking about

I'm definitely considering that as a possibility esp because of her affinity for country recently

I've seen sooooo many people saying Peppers, LTLI, Margaret, etc should have been the singles and I could not disagree more! They are all amazing songs (yes, even Margaret, I said what I said) with great re-playability and the potential to go huge on the radio, charts, tiktok etc (as we've seen) HOWEVER she/her team made the right choice choosing The Grants, Candy Necklace, Title Track, and A&W as the singles. Not only are they some of the absolute best songs on the album, thematically it makes far more sense and sums up the "heart" of DYKTTATUOB which is about legacy, grief, death, desire, existentialism, etc. Choosing any other singles would have done a massive disservice to the album and although it may have charted better, it wouldn't have gotten the critical acclaim it has so far. I know so many people want Lana to make more "bops" buttttt DYKTTATUOB is one of her best albums (imo) BECAUSE it has dark songs as well as slightly more classic 70s sounds like LTLI, simple love songs like Margaret, and bops like Peppers/Fishtail.

I'm sure I read an interview where Lana said she liked her body during that time, and she liked having bigger boobs. I really dislike fans who think that just because they like her body better smaller that she does too. And our relationship with our weight and how we feel best is allowed to change too, so cringe
