  1. What do we think the exclusive item not available for general sale is? Maybe the hair bow? Or something they didn't show?
  2. I just bought it, even though I can't see it I know its going to be a MOMENT I can't wait for the interview (hopefully?) too !!! Omg
  3. Burnt Norton is clearly the winner. It's so atmospheric, I just love the poetry reading, everything about it is perfect. It's all I want in an interlude. The trio is a close second for me. I also actually like BOTH of the Ocean Blvd interludes
  4. I really love how Margaret just shows her love for Lana every chance she gets I haven't listened yet but how cool that Laufey interviewed THE Elton John and Lana is getting mentioned by him!
  5. I REALLY wish Lana had won, but even though I'm not an active fan, I'm glad at least it went to SZA after she lost the major categories in the Grammys
  6. I just checked my letterboxd yearly review for 2023. A lot of it was skewed because I didn't know how to use it back then and logged a lot completely wrong. But this was interesting MOST WATCHED THEME Surreal and thought-provoking visions of life and death MOST WATCHED NANOGENRE® Weird, Dream, Journey
  7. I've just recently started using letterboxd, but I love it! Here's my profile: https://letterboxd.com/ellanorwatches/ , I watch a decent ratio of English-language and world cinema, so it might be interesting My top four favourite films would probably be In the Mood for Love, Apocalypse Now, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, and The Godfather Part 1 & 2, but I'd give honourable mentions to A Touch of Zen, Dune, Grave of the Fireflies, Your Name, and Blue is the Warmest Colour

    PJ Harvey

The first North American tour in seven years has finally been announced for all PJ Harvey's U.S. and Canada-based fans! Scroll down for the dates: https://pjharvey.net/live/ It says the pre-sale starts March 1st
  9. I just finished: The Plague by Albert Camus - hits differently after Covid, and Camus is a master of weaving philosophy into fiction in a great way for beginners The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas by Ursula le Guin - an incredibly short story that I couldn't stop thinking about all day The Devil by Leo Tolstoy - a novella about obsession and addiction that's nowhere near as good as his longer works but still worth the read Now I'm attempting to tackle The Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller. I tried to read it last year but life got in the way! It's part of my "reading everything Lana ever mentioned" list ...
  10. I just saw this on the OU U.K. store: https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/en-gb/shop/wise-words-of-lana-del-rey-uo-exclusive-book?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=000&searchparams=q%3Dlana%20del%20rey&type=REGULAR&size=ONE SIZE&quantity=1 Personally I won't get it, but sharing for anyone here who may be interested
  11. Why does the U.K. UO never get anything like this I don't have Chemtrails on vinyl at all yet. For anyone who has multiple pressings, which is your favourite? Aesthetically I like the clear vinyl, green vinyl, and the red Neil Krug white dress vinyl — which should I prioritise hunting down?
  12. Okay this is actually so cute, I joined! I wish Lana would do a book club too. Can you imagine I like Laufey's music but I don't think I could ever love it, if you know what I mean. It doesn't (yet) have that special something that would get me obsessed. Having said that, her voice is so delicate and pretty and the music is so fairytale-like. Bewitched is so lovely in particular I also looked at some of the youtube videos you posted and she seems like the sweetest soul.
  13. I'd say I have quite broad music taste, but historically, rock has always been my "home." I like so many different sub-genres though. I've always adored old 60s-70s rock like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Doors. On equal level are the 80s & 90s rock bands — REM, Radiohead (although they are more electronica than alt rock I think, I do enjoy their more rock-leaning earlier songs too), The Cure, Nirvana, and PJ Harvey. I'm also into metal, but I'm really "fussy" about the singers. So many bands I enjoy the music but the singing just ruins it for me. My favourite sub genres are definitely classic heavy metal and thrash metal. So far the only bands I love are Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Megadeth.
  14. One of my favourite films of all time, top 5 for me. Did you like it?
  15. I've been on a King Hu streak. He is literally the King of wuxia movies! It's been such a cultural education Last night I watched Dragon Inn. Before that I saw Come Drink With Me, Legend of the Mountain, Raining in the Mountain, and A Touch of Zen. My favourites were Legend of the Mountain, A Touch of Zen, and Dragon Inn!
  16. I just finished Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. It was my first Murakami novel and I have really mixed feelings about it, but I'll try some of his more surreal works
  17. All completely true When I re-read the series I usually stop at book 3, those are definitely the most charming
  18. I SOOOOOOO wish I was old enough to be able to travel around the U.K. when Lana was living here/playing here a lot in her early career. Instead I was experiencing literally the worst year of my life stuck in my little city that she will never set foot in These photos are so unbelievably beautiful
  19. Ohhh great thread idea! I think the first I bought was OK Computer by Radiohead, it's hard to remember though. Other early ones were Vespertine by Bjork and The Doors (by the Doors)
  20. Because it is such a masterpiece of modern songwriting, I'm glad A&W was the first Lana song to make this list ... it's undoubtably the best song of 2023 and probably the decade Buuuuuut having scanned most of the songs, I definitely feel like Video Games also deserved a place
  21. Oh now I feel stupid I still can't find the new Taylor Swift song they added, though, considering they said it was songs from 2021 - 2024. Maybe they miswrote it and included one of her older songs
  22. It's quite funny they mentioned three artists (Beyonce, Taylor, and Lana) yet Lana is the only one they actually added to the list A&W truly IS just that perfect song, a modern manifesto indeed
