  1. I knew the drama about the label, but thinking about it now it makes sense she abandoned the project due to the lateness of the release. But to what degree what it the label's fault versus the album doing poorly? If you know can you educate me if Lana ever commented on the label taking a long time to release the album. Because the timeline confuses me. From 2008 the date AKA was meant for a release to the moment she pulled it from streaming, she was already making Born To Die? I don't remember her promoting the album anywhere which makes sense I guess. I guess, she just took her loses and spent her time finding the sound for Born To Die without a label or big budget. It would explain some of the comments she made about Born To Die that I have seen from the website. I'm not sure if she intended for a label-less release. Or maybe she would've had her own label. Impressive she put a four year old song onto the record. I know a lot of the tracks like Million Dollar Man weren't created until 2010. Thinking about this timeline, some of the comments made by Princess Superstar seem to have the most merit to them with this timeline. If she never got in contact with her managers it's likely Born To Die would've been stuck in that same cycle AKA was in. I think it is fitting she was still making those home movies from the Lizzy era into Born To Die -- she was really never ready to fully leave it behind her. Also her label was 100% in the right to refuse to Ray to Rey change. It looks way better.
  2. What was the reason for not wanting to support Lana Del Ray A.K.A Lizzy Grant? I thought because the album did poorly she shelved it. To add, which date was she entirely done with this project? If I'm not mistaken Diet Mtn Dew is the oldest song we have from its demo form post-AKA.

Isn't the album the name of the Photoshop file?
  8. She hasn't done an unreleased song in a while. I wouldn't mind a song like If I Die Young or Cult Leader live.
  9. I think the tour was testing the waters. Clearly her fanbase is still here which should motivate her for a bigger tour, and an album.
  10. Is there a All I Do Is Cry demo?

This whole situation is just weird. If I had a young son or daughter their social media would be monitored 24/7.
  12. I honestly never thought to see a headline of Snow Strippers and Sky Ferreira. Their Uzi collab is alright.
  13. I can never get over how this was her most "Lana Del Rey" era and right we are about half way forward and backward. 2015 is the mid point for 2008 to 2023. I believe she "peaked" here in numerous areas. I would love to hear her thoughts on this period of her life. It's so cool to think this music will be considered vintage in some time. I remember everyone thought she would stop making music after this... That's how good the album is. I think the general "good feelings" attitude that existed before Trump era really made this album that much more memorable. It's almost like a second "Lizzy Grant" era. She really was still a well kept secret during Honeymoon.
  14. Why are you surprised she went? Meg is the OG. She's a huge fan of Lana.
  15. I don't know where you're located but in NYC the weather is gorgeous. A walk might clear your mind. All love. .
  16. Can she go back to Rick please... Like she's trolling at this point.
  17. This sounds like a Tik Tok remix. OMG.
  18. Even if fan made... They sound great. If Lana made, I don't support leaking full, but I have to say they are pretty.
  19. That's just a regular NYC show at Knockdown.
  20. I had Teenage Dream on repeat in 2012 for sure. That's album of the decade right there.
  21. The facts: 1. Fans have speculated Tropico was the name for the second album. 2. We have a single piece of paper that's mostly illegible that Lana wrote on with song titles. 3. There is possibly fake metadata attached to the songs. Anyone can edit this data. Fans can come to their own conclusions. One conclusion I didn't come to was Tropico was ever the title of her next album or that is was even going to consist of these songs. She does studio sessions all the time for various reasons. You'll notice Trans-Am which a fan has teased before. If anything that's probably the more likely "working title" because it is next to her name in album cover format. This is just speculation though.
