  4. Thank you for reminding me. I’m going out of town for a concert on Election Day and I need to get an absentee or mail in ballot 💜
  5. JD sported some fire eyeliner, but that was about it
  6. I think he’s pointing out that many prominent Republican figures are supporting the democratic ticket. It’s a nod to say that it’s okay to vote blue, even if you’re a Republican, because you won’t be alone.
  7. There are better ways to effectively redistribute wealth that won’t have such a volatile impact on the economy. A little thing that should be done, in my opinion, is increase the damn federal minimum wage. It’s insane that it’s been $7.25 for 15 years. It’s still $7.25 here in Oklahoma. We also need to look at our tax code to ensure that everyone pays their fair share.
  8. Pretty boring debate so far, but that’s not a bad thing. I don’t think it’s going to sway undecided voters much. Vance hasn’t come off quite as weird as he has in other recent appearances. Walz is well spoken, but has had a stumble or two. At least it’s mostly a civilized conversation.
  9. A lot of people just aren’t that engaged or educated. Like I literally saw someone I follow post a story of the debate saying they h@te Kamala and won’t be voting for her. Like okay? I guess she’s probably not an independent or undecided voter, but the point remains. It’s all about “vibes” now I guess. I just don’t understand how you can like the vibes that Trump gives off.
  10. Vance is going to be a train wreck against Walz. Trump really made one of the dumbest VP picks of all time.
  11. If you’re Trump, you have to do another debate. Otherwise he comes off as the old feeble man who’s hiding in the basement at Mar-a-lago. Plus we know he craves the media attention.
  12. I never thought I’d see the day that I share one of her posts, but alas
  13. It’s different this time. The party is splitting. You have several prominent republicans say they are voting for a democrat. That should say something.
  14. I think they’re focused on both. Instead of answering the first question tonight, she spent time talking about her policy proposals. Real talk - politicians on both sides really suck at getting anything meaningful done these days. It’s mostly pandering and hot air. The two party system, by design, leads to stalemate and almost nothing getting done. I think @baddiseasecan agree here. I think that IF Trump loses in a landslide this November, that could possibly, finally, lead to the rapid decline of the Republican Party. I think it’s really bad if Trump wins and not much better if he narrowly loses. He has to be beaten, to use his words, bigly.
  15. Watching the commentary after the debate is amusing. Chris Wallace, who’s definitely more conservative and used to be on Fox News, just said this debate was as bad for Trump as the last debate was for Biden. He said he was scowling the whole time and looked old. Ouch. (All obviously true, of course) When conservatives are saying Trump did terribly, that’s a bad sign.
  16. Finally, climate change as a topic. And Trump pivots to ranting about China again. The moderators need to cut him off and make him answer the actual question. What the hell is he talking about? And they never had him answer the actual question.
  17. Greyer and thinner. And he has “concepts” of a plan. That’s hilarious.
  18. Is it just me or does his hair look more grey than usual too? He’s really aging…
  19. When she just called him “fella” He’s got nothing on her!
  20. If there was any doubt that she is ready to be president, I think her debate performance so far has completely erased that.
  21. Middle Eastern foreign policy is kind of a lose-lose for any American politician. The spectrum goes from police state to isolationism and both ends are arguably bad for world interests. There’s always going to be shit going on over there and I don’t think there’s any happy middle ground stance for America to take. (I’m not defending any side here, tbh) All else being equal, I’d rather we not play policemen of the world, but completely isolating ourselves isn’t the best solution either. It’s a mess.
  22. I think they’re probably overcompensating to seem fair. I can’t blame them, to some degree, but it is annoying.
  23. Someone needs to come out and make it known that he’s the oldest nominated presidential candidate in American history. It’s funny they’re quick to say Joe Biden lost it, but they are very slow to acknowledge that Trump’s mental state is probably even worse than Biden’s.
  24. Like it or not, and I don’t like fracking, but she’s going for the Pennsylvania vote. Recall that Hillary made disparaging comments about putting coal miners out of business that really hurt her in the rust belt. Someone needs to come out and give a nuisance position when it comes to fracking, coal, gasoline, etc. You can acknowledge that these things are hurting the environment, but still come up with a plan to phase them out over time, rather than abruptly. By providing incentives to those who support green energy and create jobs/give training to those who will exit those industries.
