  1. You’re probably right that democrats aren’t doing the best job of reaching out to everyone. But then again, how do you appeal to everyone? The research probably suggests that most third party voters are less likely to vote at all than for Harris, or they might even vote for Trump or RFK, for example. I know you probably disagree, but many people believe that Jill is just playing spoiler and she doesn’t really care much about keeping Trump out of office. She has some highly sus baggage too, but I don’t wanna start drama about that. It’s not that voters are necessarily dumb, but a lot of them are uniformed, misinformed or just uneducated on the issues. Hell, I used to be in the undecided camp. I even thought I was libertarian for a while. I think I voted for Gary Johnson in 2012. I’m embarrassed to say I supported Ron Paul for a while too, until I started to research and think more critically. A lot of 3rd party candidates seem great at a quick glance. To someone who listens to a soundbite or two might even think RFK would be a great candidate. Once you go below surface level, then it all gets very questionable, to put it lightly. As much as the duopoly SUCKS, I can’t justify a vote for anyone aside from Kamala this election. Even if I disagree with her on some things.
  2. Undecided can mean many things. Undecided to vote for the “lesser of two evils,” undecided to vote at all, undecided about third party vs. dem/rep, etc. Many voters are also not very engaged or educated and don’t have an informed opinion. Politics these days makes many people apathetic about it all.
  3. Yup. Recent elections come down to tens of thousands of votes in a small handful of states. A 1-2% swing can literally cost you or win you the election.

  5. Just curious, what democratic candidates do you think would be significantly better than Harris?
  6. She probably looks unhappy when random people take her pics in private settings…
  7. Thunder (because that’s my favorite song off of Banisters, which is in your display name, and you named me after my all time favorite song🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤)
  8. Unfortunately, most people are uneducated or simply don’t care about the issues. I think a majority of people vote for one of three reasons: 1. For the candidate on their “team” 2. Because they don’t like the other guy/gal 3. Single issue voters (like abortion, taxes, foreign policy) Or maybe there’s a 4th reason, because of something they saw on social media
  9. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024) It seems like a lot of people didn’t like it, but I really enjoyed it. It was fun and quirky, while neither a carbon copy of the first film, nor a totally divergent flop that many sequels end up being these days. Anyway, I thought it was a good mixture of fresh takes on the original Beetlejuice character/world, while still maintaining a lot of what made the first film fun: Use of stop action Quirky jokes and innuendo Not overusing the main character In summary, I think it was a fun film. Was it a cinematic masterpiece? No. Was it quirky, nostalgic and unique? Yes, yes, yes!

  13. Thank you for reminding me. I’m going out of town for a concert on Election Day and I need to get an absentee or mail in ballot 💜
  14. I think he’s pointing out that many prominent Republican figures are supporting the democratic ticket. It’s a nod to say that it’s okay to vote blue, even if you’re a Republican, because you won’t be alone.
  15. There are better ways to effectively redistribute wealth that won’t have such a volatile impact on the economy. A little thing that should be done, in my opinion, is increase the damn federal minimum wage. It’s insane that it’s been $7.25 for 15 years. It’s still $7.25 here in Oklahoma. We also need to look at our tax code to ensure that everyone pays their fair share.
  16. Pretty boring debate so far, but that’s not a bad thing. I don’t think it’s going to sway undecided voters much. Vance hasn’t come off quite as weird as he has in other recent appearances. Walz is well spoken, but has had a stumble or two. At least it’s mostly a civilized conversation.
  17. A lot of people just aren’t that engaged or educated. Like I literally saw someone I follow post a story of the debate saying they h@te Kamala and won’t be voting for her. Like okay? I guess she’s probably not an independent or undecided voter, but the point remains. It’s all about “vibes” now I guess. I just don’t understand how you can like the vibes that Trump gives off.
  18. Vance is going to be a train wreck against Walz. Trump really made one of the dumbest VP picks of all time.
  19. If you’re Trump, you have to do another debate. Otherwise he comes off as the old feeble man who’s hiding in the basement at Mar-a-lago. Plus we know he craves the media attention.
  20. I never thought I’d see the day that I share one of her posts, but alas
  21. It’s different this time. The party is splitting. You have several prominent republicans say they are voting for a democrat. That should say something.
  22. I think they’re focused on both. Instead of answering the first question tonight, she spent time talking about her policy proposals. Real talk - politicians on both sides really suck at getting anything meaningful done these days. It’s mostly pandering and hot air. The two party system, by design, leads to stalemate and almost nothing getting done. I think @baddiseasecan agree here. I think that IF Trump loses in a landslide this November, that could possibly, finally, lead to the rapid decline of the Republican Party. I think it’s really bad if Trump wins and not much better if he narrowly loses. He has to be beaten, to use his words, bigly.
  23. Watching the commentary after the debate is amusing. Chris Wallace, who’s definitely more conservative and used to be on Fox News, just said this debate was as bad for Trump as the last debate was for Biden. He said he was scowling the whole time and looked old. Ouch. (All obviously true, of course) When conservatives are saying Trump did terribly, that’s a bad sign.
