Child you pulled Elvis out of a post that clearly said I want more Burning Desires... A studio acoustic album with Elvis revamped would effortlessly blow BTD out of the water though let's face facts -
It could benefit from more action. But for the most part it's one storyline and not an Asylum clusterfuck. The only truly unsettling horror moments are the flashbacks to the past

Bye that was Lana herself She doesn't need gimmicks (I will admit he toned it down on Paradise and actually managed not to drown her out. Burning Desire remains a solid direction for her that I would fully support) -
It didn't manage to top season 1 like I thought it would within the first few episodes. I'm loving how concise it is and it isn't as prone to unnecessary bullshit as the previous two but it's lacking some horror elements

I wrote about "Mermaid Motel" this last semester in my music class. It's a song that delights me on every listen. Basically a lot of the essay was about brilliance in modern pop music--i.e., artists setting themselves apart by using a lot of the melodic and formulaic rules of pop to their advantage, rather than attempting to rebel. (I wrote this in response to my teacher ranting about how much music sucks today lel.) I also stole some of the technical wording from @@Monicker's fangirling. It's a little weirdly isolated so it's missing some context, but here:

She can't deny the destiny for her voice much longer Black Beauty could tooootally be amped into something a little dark-electro-R&Bish, you feel me. I think what I'm searching for is just plain minimalism, electronic or organic or otherwise. I don't want the mysterious soundcheck rock vocals or a bunch of OTTRs or Emile gd Haynie. It's nitpicking because I think she tends to shine through no matter what but I already have this super idealized vision of the album in mind. -

Shit, this is mostly sad because I believe she called him her best friend. (Either him or Dan Heath.) Also they made magic together. Add to the pile of collaborators we'll always thirst for despite personal feelings along with David Kahne. -

I just want it to sound fresh, I'm afraid potential upbeat tracks (a reach) and Emile (a sad reality) aren't serving me that Spiritual and organic! Hmmm or dark electronic like "Burning Desire" if Emile must. That could be a cool whole album and also fits the title quite a bit. Really slick electronic is v on trend imo Unthinkable -
And yet here we are without it

Okay, so 2014 is supposed to have Charli XCX, Marina and the Diamonds, Lady Gaga, and Grimes albums. Will they pan out? There are pending TITLED albums from Lana Del Rey (Ultraviolence) and Azealia Banks (Broke With Expensive Taste). Then there's an expected second set of Sky Ferreira b-sides. Will they pan out? Debuts from less popular acts are expected but unannounced, including SOHN, Nightmare and the Cat, and Banks. Will they pan out? As for stuff with a release date: - After the Disco by Broken Bells (February 4) - Blue Film by Lo-Fang (February 25) - Joyland by TRUST (March 4) - No Mythologies to Follow by MØ (March 10) Bring it awn 2014.
