Yep, it's that time of week again! (Actually, we're rather overdue, but I bet TrailerParkDarling has enjoyed her several weeks in the homepage spotlight.) I'm happy to present our newest Member of the Week, myriiiam! Hers was one of the closest races we've had so far in the forum, but in the end she won. Read her interview, bask in her glory, listen to her song and weep...Her answers are thoughtful and I, for one, am glad she shared with us!

Wait, before you go--do you see this errant modelling talent in those early teen pictures...?

Anyway, those first three singles are too often disregarded because they're all the most popular--that is, Video Games, Born to Die, and Blue Jeans. Musically, they're all rather superior. BTD's first verses up to the chorus will always do it for me. I always like some simplicity, effortlessness--those first verses balance that with the ~cinematic~ feel of the rest.

Do you know that this is EXACTLY what I'VE needed!?

I swear to GOD, THE UNIVERSE, FATE, WHATEVER- I swear on my life that reading the support that you guys have flooded me with has made me laugh, has made me cry, has made me proud, has made me confident. You DON'T understand how much it means to me to know that this thing belongs to all of you- that you can take it (FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIVES)- and it's yours. You can do whatever you want with it- grow with it, grow apart from it, remember it one day in 40 years. To know that these words I wrote about a vision of paradise I had- a place where we could all belong- has made it into your life.

Honestly, your thoughts and your excitement and your participation in all this makes EVERY ounce of work count for what I hoped it would.

A$AP Rocky pushed back his album--again--until 2013. So, you know, he's not releasing it a$ap...

I'M TRYING TO GIVE YOU THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, ROCKY. I'M TRYING TO BELIEVE THAT YOUR VERSE COULD BE LESS SHIT. I'M TRYING TO GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR AWFUL RAP BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO MATCH LANA'S FLAWLESS VERSES. I'M TRYING TO BE THE ONLY ONE WHO CARES, BUT YOU HAVE DEFINITELY MISSED YOUR HYPE TRAIN. YOU FUCK. I'M FOR SURE JUST DOWNLOADING "MY BITCH" NEXT YEAR WITHOUT PAYING A CENT.

Damn, I always work Lana's tilted head, parted lips, and downward gaze. Like, "Oh? Me? I bet."

Lana photographs like a singer, in my opinion. The uniqueness of her look is the only thing that really sets her apart as a model. It's enough for me Incidentally, none of those tilted-head pictures are my favorites. I like the power of her straight-on look, which isn't used nearly enough. The cover of Zoo magazine, the H&M winter image where she's standing in front of the car and kinda touching her hair as it's laid over her shoulder. Sure, they aren't special fashion-wise. I guess I'm just a fan of her beauty--whether or not that's relevant to this issue.

On the other hand: A moving camera eats her the fuck up and savors every inch of it. In motion, for instance music videos, she just plain stuns me. Someone refute that.
