I'm happy to present our newest Member of the Week, myriiiam! Hers was one of the closest races we've had so far in the forum, but in the end she won. Anyway, those first three singles are too often disregarded because they're all the most popular--that is, Video Games, Born to Die, and Blue Jeans. Musically, they're all rather superior. BTD's first verses up to the chorus will always do it for me. I always like some simplicity, effortlessness--those first verses balance that with the ~cinematic~ feel of the rest.

Damn, I always work Lana's tilted head, parted lips, and downward gaze. Like, "Oh? Me? I bet."
 
Lana photographs like a singer, in my opinion. The uniqueness of her look is the only thing that really sets her apart as a model. It's enough for me Incidentally, none of those tilted-head pictures are my favorites. I like the power of her straight-on look, which isn't used nearly enough. The cover of Zoo magazine, the H&M winter image where she's standing in front of the car and kinda touching her hair as it's laid over her shoulder. Sure, they aren't special fashion-wise. I guess I'm just a fan of her beauty--whether or not that's relevant to this issue.
 
On the other hand: A moving camera eats her the fuck up and savors every inch of it. In motion, for instance music videos, she just plain stuns me. Someone refute that.
