Got a .wav of the full length of White Light!
  4. Hmmmmm 2 years later and Trouble still stands as a fantastic album. I am listening for the first time in a few months and living. I wonder how the new stuff will sound. Hopefully better than that Goodbye track
  5. KillForLove

Maybe I just had low expectations (I thought it was gonna be AWFUL) but I'm actually really surprised by how much I like it
  6. KillForLove

My only quarrel is that its 100% a summer song. I guess it wouldn't have made sense to release it during the summer of the reign of Lean On, but it still would've been a summer banger
  7. Yeah vinyl is an expensive hobby I have learned. The spin clean may seem expensive, but in my opinion it is worth every dollar. The other stuff I'd just get a bit at a time as you have some extra money here and there. Also I don't know if you're storing your vinyl in outer sleeves but I use these and they're excellent, very thick but still will fit a 3xLP.
  8. Right! So you can actually wash your vinyl, however I wouldn't recommend using tap water (distilled is probably best). I use a spin clean and at the recommendation of some other collectors, I wash all of my records after I take them out of the shrink. This removes any dirt, dust, or films left from the pressing process and I've noticed a much clearer sound. I also store my records in these after washing instead of the standard paper sleeves and it keeps them much cleaner (prevents the paper dust) as well as dramatically reduces static! Edit: I dont wash a record every time I play it (that would be grueling), I also wash them in batches of about 15-20. In between washings I use this to help wipe off any dust that may have gotten on the record before I play it (I don't use the solution it comes with), and I use this to gently clear any dust/residue/etc from my needle

    Wait I actually love it

Who has a link for a radio rip
  11. Theres a white pressing of bloom as well, its the "loser edition" and the glow in the dark pressing was sold exclusively at shows and there were only 250 made. http://www.discogs.com/artist/592308-Beach-House heres a great reference if you're looking for details
  12. Make sure you give it a wash before you play it. The velvet sheds and was all over my disc when i pulled it out so I make sure to store them separately.

  14. Black Water is fantastic
  15. First Ryan Hemsworth, Jaques Green & Dev Hynes, then Blood Diamonds, DJ Dahi, Cashmere Cat, and now Snakehips!?!?! Damn bitch, collab with all my favs
  16. Now that theres a thread for him, can we discuss what the fuck is going on with his instagram likes?
  17. Tbh in my experience, fans that young are usually pretty polite, its the 18ish-25 age group that seems to get really entitled and pushy. I had to punch some dumb 18 year old kid at a Marina and the Diamonds concert back in 2013 because he was shoving us and spit on this 14 year old girl when she told him to stop. Luckily the venues near me are really good at throwing people out for that kind of shit so him and his friends got tossed but I've had 20 year old girls try to climb over me at concerts when I'm at the barricade and its like.........where do you think you're going honey, theres nowhere in front of me for you to land.

    She didn't get tickets
  20. EDIT: Its lyrics from "All Your Yeahs" Stereogum has links to lyrics to all the new tracks which were available on Beach Houses website for a shirt time here
  21. Fun fact: If you have the Depression Cherry vinyl, check out the etchings in the runout (dead wax between the songs and the center label). In addition to the standard matrix info, you'll find the message "THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS" on Side A and "She's a fire in the night" on Side B. I remember seeing this when I first got my copy but never made the connection until now
  22. Tbh this actually isn't a super uncommon thing. I saw Charli XCX in a small ass bar back in 2013 before she hit big and it was still pretty crowded and she stopped the show and told these people to stop pushing and then again to say "don't fucking fight at my show".
  23. I'm worried as to how this will affect her music. The pregnancy might give her time to write, which will be nice, but I always think go motherhood as a joyous thing and she said in that interview that she would never want to write a "happy" song
  24. Tbh I wouldn't be shocked if even she doesn't know. She just strikes me as the type of person who wouldn't know or care. I don't think she's dating Emile, I think she's just friends with him and Jeff Bhasker
  25. I Never Learn is timeless
