Those vocals on the chorus towards the end when they dial back the instrumental

She said she can't wait any longer and were getting it 9/24

Unfortunately I agree. I had high hopes but this just ended up sounding just as "generic disclosure track" as the rest of the stuff on their latest album. I think the production really held her back. Disclosure is really slacking on this album.

I've listened to them all. She does not have a huge range.

I like her but this is a reach

THIS MIGHT NOT BE FAR OFF

Half relevant here, but the BBC session version of "Honeymoon" gave me mad "On the Sea" vibes and it was SO good. I wish she'd do more songs with the guitars like that

Can I just say that the halsey lyrics over spongebob screencaps has been my favorite thing to come out of the internet all year. Now that she knows about it, hopefully she'll learn to take herself less seriously.

I still have yet to fully recover from the out of nowhere snatching known as "Chandelier"

Colors pt II just feels very weird to me because even if you listen to it immediately following Colors or combine the two tracks, it still seems/sounds super out of place and too sonically different to the song to be a proper outro. It sounds like one of those cheesy, quickly thrown together sound bites that they use on tours when the performer needs to run offstage to change/get a sip of water but still keep the crowd hyped

#tbt to when the internet thought it was Lana singing on Dear Boy by Avicii

Ok but where is the Guardian?

Theres a serious time difference in getting a release pressed in 2015 than in pre-2013. In 2013 and before the time used to take about a month from first contact. Now indie labels are looking at up to 6 months since first contacts. Also she's being managed by Roc Nation, I believe she still releasing on 4AD.

Every week Run Away With Me isn't #1 on the charts is another week that we as a society are missing out
-
If she keeps adding stuff then we won't get the vinyl for awhile. The current turn around time on an indie label (Interscope was able to get Honeymoon rushed) getting a vinyl pressed is 6 months.

I've seen the video plenty of times. I also know that the song was recorded in more than one take and you can hear how hard she's straining (much like when she does Set Me Free live). She sounds good on the track, but its a studio track. Ellie Gouding sounds good on her albums, but can't hit half the notes live at her shows. and I also said "and theres a reason we don't have more tracks that are vocally like it". I've seen Charli 3 times live over the past 3 years. She's a great performer, but she is not a good vocalist. I'm not saying that because she's not a good/strong vocalist that she's less of an artist, again I'm just saying vocals are not her strong point.

90% of vinyls won't sound like that (and will actually sound closer to a lossless file) if you keep them clean and play them on proper equipment.

I like the occasional song but I'd put her in the same league vocally as Charli. They know how to work their voices. They're not horrible singers, they're just not good ones, which is perfectly alright if you're like Charli and writing your own music and doing something fresh. The original comment was more a dig at how Selena doesn't write her stuff and now apparently she can't sing it either, so why is she here? People took it more as an attack on Charli. Anyone can sound good on a studio track after 20 takes (not saying thats what happened just pointing out), hence literally any Britney Spears song/album. Theres a reason we haven't heard Kingdom live, and theres a reason we don't have more tracks that are vocally like it. I'm not trying to insult her by saying she's not a good vocalist, I'm just pointing out one of her weaker areas. You don't have to be a great vocalist to be a great artist, I'm just noting that its Charli's weaker aspect.
