this label contract really fucked her up… she used to be so much more consistent in her releases when she was independent

I wasn't gonna comment on this any further lol but thank you for clarifying what's obvious. The problem is not her singing other people's songs, it's the fact that she gatekeeps the sound and attacks others for being influenced (Nasty Cherry) but what's even more troubling is that she acts like this troubled genius who writes and produces her own music and needs a decade to be able to "perfect her craft" when she basically sings other people's songs! On top of that she gets angry when fans demand the music she promised, acts like she never promised anything and blames everyone else instead of taking responsibility.
Let me just reiterate that point, the problem isn't that she is not the top songwriter and creator of her songs. It's the roleplay of "troubled genius and industry victim" who lies and makes false promises, attacks her own fans instead of taking genuine responsibility, gets upset about other female artists for being influenced and brings them down instead of showing support and takes a decade perfecting "her" craft. Enough with the Fiona Apple cosplay. But let's hear the "she doesn't owe you anything, you're entitled" brigade when she has teased new music, merch, music videos, alternate mixes and whatnot every year since 2015.

Prententious people calling other people pretentious for not liking the static noises in Forever is just weird. Not everyone is going to like the loud noise throughout songs, you aren't superior for enjoying it and people who don't enjoy it aren't lesser than you. Everyone has different tastes

why does she keep on using those harsh noises in every single song she releases now?? it was cute for track 10 but now after click, 2099, bricks, ringtone etc it’s just tired...it’s so unpleasant to listen and ruins the whole vibe

I actually listened it more than 10 times already but my opinion hasn't changed at all. The song is good, I love the lyrics and how her voice sounds, but the noise is too loud and redundant. We already have many others songs that sounds like that.

I feel like whoever produced this just added heavy distortion for the sake of adding it + its trendy and it really takes away from the song.

Some of us are Charli fans, not AG/PC Music/whatever fans. The way you are fuming because we think she needs to change the direction after 4 projects in the same vein... worms.

as much as i love these sounds i have to admit that she's overusing them, let's not act as if having them IN EVERY FUCKING SONG isn't tiring so this is a pretty dumb comment lol and being her fans does not mean that we can't have our own opinions and we have to love everything she does just because she did it lol
