As much as I want all of her unleaked music that we have snippets/live/etc. I want this song more than I've ever wanted anything to leak in history. Even if she did like a live studio performance of it like she did with YNTO I'd be satisfied. I swear to christ this is my favorite song she's ever written I get so emotional watching her perform it. Ugh.

I was so hopeful back in 2012-2013 that eventually all her old pop demos would leak. I get less hopeful each year tbh. I'm also getting less hopeful that she'll even release another album ever again. And the fact we might never get Guardian.... ohhhhhh my god I want to cry. 

I loved avril since I was a little kid but I only have her officially released songs

Oh yeah they totally used a shit ton of Avril's vocals and then edited the fuck out of them so they could pass as Miranda's mediocre voice. Even more than they did Bebe Rexha's vocals in Monster or Charli's vocals in Same Old Love... embarrassing

This fan-made music video is pretty poor quality (uploaded in 2006) but every time I watch it my mind is blown. It looks so official, they did an amazing job.

Breakaway is such a beautiful song I know

Right!?  Even Demi would have managed to make it good with a studio version,  but Miranda could barely do anything with it besides make it sound like she totally used Avrils vocals in the chorus. (Shane Dawson covers that pretty well in his latest conspiracy video hahah) 

Daydream could have been her best song. I never understood why they scrapped it. It was actually originally sold to Demi Lovato for her debut album in 2008 (you can find videos online of her singing the song at various shows) but then they scrapped her from her album too. Which still makes no sense. So finally they gave it to Miranda and she released it on her album. Such a shame. That song deserves so much more. I pray we get Avril's full demo in HQ one day... the fact that we got the Breakaway demo gives me hope. And yeah I could totally imagine Dancing Crazy being included on Goodbye Lullaby. I think it was actually written for that album initially if I'm not mistaken. Miranda has gotten songs that were written by/for Avril, Demi, Britney, and Kesha. The songwriters and producers credited for her album are actually astonishing. Like why the hell did this little girl get all of these amazing songs? Why is SHE the one who gets to release them? This thread is interesting. I'm not sure we'll ever know where she stands on religion... but maybe she's like me when it comes to her beliefs. Personally, I don't believe or disbelieve anything specifically. I like to keep an open mind and think that really anything is possible. It may be somewhat ignorant for me to not educate myself and find my own faith, but the way I look at it is - we're all eventually going to die one day and we'll find out then. So I don't think we should spend our lives fretting about why we're here or what's to come. And I sure as hell don't think people should spend their lives arguing about it with others. Seems like such a waste of this beautiful life. I mean, yes, I believe organized religion is mainly bullshit. But at the same time, I think people should do what makes them happy... and if that's dedicating their life to their religious beliefs and following specific "guidelines" (like those of the bible, for instance), then I say go for it.
 
Sorry to get off on a tangent lol I know this thread is strictly about Lana and we have other threads to discuss our personal beliefs so I'm totally getting off topic. My point was that it wouldn't surprise me if she feels the way I do. We'll most likely never know unless she decides to publicly speak on it. I don't think she'll ever do that though tbh. Too much of a sticky topic to get into when you're as famous as she is.

I like the EP though! And I'm calling it an EP even tho she keeps referring to it as her debut album. 7 songs ain't an album girlie, sorry. She could've just included the 3 past singles and it would have passed for an album but she didn't soooo... 
and NOT with the 14 yr old tumblr kids coming out of the woodworks rn saying she's "appropriating suicide and glamorizing mental illness" bc of the title. Literally bye.
 
Also I can't help feeling like her songs keep getting... lazier? Like, her lyrics are pretty mediocre and a lot of her songs lack the uniqueness she needs to stand out as an artist but somehow she's pulling it off. And I kind of like it??? Like I have no idea why but there's something about her and her music that intrigues me and I'm fucking here for it TBH

I've always thought it sounded weird af!! I can't place it but it sounds like 2 different songs completely. Won't someone buy/leak it already 
 
The instrumental isn't quite polished and there's a few new adlibs & she just sings parts of it differently, maybe try listening to both slays back to back?
