I think now that we have NFR and COTCC which are everything I wanted from Lana, I’d take pretty much anything from her. The only thing I wouldn’t want is the type of songs she was making around 2010 and 2011 when she was still figuring out BTD’s sound. Too poppy and kinda ridiculous (JUST MY OPINION DON’T ROAST ME).

But if I had one wish, it’d be for a jazz album

    All of this!

I cocc-indoctrinated a friend of mine. She really enjoys White Dress and Wild At Heart. My impact! :fabcat:

Is anyone else afraid we might not get a 3rd video for this album?

In which case it'd be the worst era for MVs tbh although COCC is amazing

Hmmm haven't given it much thought honestly. I mean yes they're are some really striking songs that would make for great videos but I can forgive if we actually get RCS this year lol.

maybe she has because it's done already :bebe: As someone pointed out, she probably wouldn't announce a date that's literally two months away if she weren't sure. But on the other hand, she and delays do have history. And I also keep wondering why she said to Annie Mac she didn't have "four songs" ready for the next record. I have a hard time believing she made an entire album within the last two months.

I'm so torn on this lol. Like is it already done or not done, 50/50.

I feel like she obv has been working on something since last year but at the same time you do have to consider that Annie Mac statement lol. So was that statement bullshit or did she literally come up with a completed album in last two months? Who knows lol. Maybe after the interview she ended up revisiting some shelved tracks that maybe fit the subject matter/her reaction/ mood to the whole interview and issues she has had over the last year. Like maybe she made these songs but didn't originally intend to release them but after that was like you know what fuck this, I'm tired of this bullshit, I'm going to let them fucking have it lol.

Def think Dealer will be included, that is the vibe I feel.

Still think it will be coming out after June though lol.

June 1 is way too soon lol. Maybe end of year? The other poetry book doesn’t have a release date yet, that project could block or postpone Rock Candy Sweet, maybe?

Yeah it is definitely going to be a scheduling doozy, Tetris comes to mind lol, fitting it all in. I'm sure the book/poss audiobook will supersede the release of the new album considering it was on docket before hand. Honestly I'd say Behind Iron Gates will be more in the June timeframe and I can see RCS being closer to September/October.

I'm just screaming at how Ed, Ben, and the label must be reeling right now lol. It's so funny, like fuck lol.

  5. So this is definitely going to be more Rick or Zach fronted. Jack may be involved minimally but as others have said I don't see him being the main producer, 1. they weren't able to get together as much and 2. it is def out of his wheelhouse and low key feel like the controversial subject matter may make him uncomfortable to be behind.

I'm honestly not expecting June, I really really wish lol but no. It has recharged my anticipation and excitement though. I really hope she just fucking lets it all out. All of her pent up frustration, rage, and hard feelings. Even though I don't foresee this coming on that exact date I still feel like it could be relatively soon considering she is always working on music and COCC was finished last year lol.

She is just so unpredictable sometimes. Like really, who does it like her? Nobody lol. Stanning her is always an experience. I'm strapped in and ready to go lol!

Also just wanted to add on, "FUCK the New York Post" lol! That's the vibe, are we ready, yesss.

I'm afraid they'll use the body double too much and that it'll be just close up shots of her sitting and then shots of the skater

    but I hope I'm wrong!

Honestly I think that's exactly how it will be lol.

I'm still here for it though. The song is def that low key vibe to me.

I don't know I just think it will be nice and really allow you to focus on the song/music itself.

this record feels like she's finally coming full circle. i feel like this record is her truest form and hopefully will break away that image of "daddy's coke princess" many younger fans seem to have.

I def agree it is a full circle moment for her. I love the truest form comment too because that is exactly how I feel.

If someone were to ask who is Lana Del Rey, I would say this album.

This is Lana, this her at her realest, this is her at her most vulnerable. I don't know, it is really nice to see her finding herself again.

  8. Still after having it for over a week the album is so good.

Each song has its own little vibe and is just a rabbit hole to get lost in.

It's such a beautiful album. Def top three for me.

Really the only song I'm not fully vested in is For Free. It's beautiful and I do get the sentiment but it's just not clicking as much for me.

    Top 5 (Chronological order)

    White Dress

    TJF

    Dark But Just A Game

    Wild At Heart

    Yosemite

I don't know, it's really just a magical little gem. Everything about it from the theme, vocals, production, runtime clicks and works. I feel like this will probably be one of her classic go to albums in years to come.
