This thread is a nope, from me. This is all personal opinions lol. I do think she's a good songwriter, but she's more a great artist in general, her melodies can fix a bad lyric for me and sometimes i don't really mind them being bad or cringeworthy because the melody is good or how she's singing them 

I'm reading this book for a class called "We" by a Russian author named Yevgeny Zamyatin and I swear some of the chapter names sound like they'd be Lana songs, like "Incurable Soul", "Rulers of the World", "Angel", "I Died", "Descent from Heaven", "Through Glass", "Lily of the Valley", "If Only" honestly I feel like there's so much potential here for fake tracklists 

this song is electric, desperation runs through the whole thing. Im someone who LOVES california! i love that she name drops hollywood and vine. and santa monica. They really create a great vibe for the song. HOW DARE U COME FOR THE BRIDGE OF THE SONG LIKE THAT! 
 
the bridge is so amped seriously! i just love this song because it really embodies desire and a bit of danger/fear and also just the desperation that comes with it.... honestly I'm really disappointed to see someone thinks this is a lyrically bad song...

I actually liked Zella's album. It is a little shallow sounding and weak in some places. Obviously it doesn't compare to Lana but out of the people mentioned above I'd say I like her the best. It does have some standout tracks to me. To me if an album has say more than two songs I like then that's a good thing and I can think of six or so. She isn't someone I could listen to repeatedly, it did wear off quickly. No real staying power, but not bad. I really haven't listened to Ryn though. I just couldn't get into her. As for Halsey she had a couple of songs I liked but I'm not all for her either lol.
