  1. Has Lana ever mentioned any other poets that she likes besides the beat poets and T. S. Eliot?
  2. Wonder if it will be Lana http://www.ew.com/article/2016/01/19/norman-reedus-ride-with-motorcycle-show
  3. Father John Misty looks a lot like Jim Morrison in those photos
  4. Yaaaass!! Hopefully we won't have to wait like 4 months for this
  5. Why is everybody so obsessed with china.palace on this place tho. Who cares if they pretend to be an insider, at least they're not pretending to be Lana like they did at the beginning
  6. It's creepy how much you obsess over Lana. I hope Lana never comes here and sees your posts, she's had to deal with obsessive fans too much as it is
  7. There are quite a few songs on Honeymoon which start off really promising but then start meandering and go nowhere. Like with Freak. When I first heard it in the album teaser I was floored and couldn't wait to listen to the whole song, but the only good part is basically up to the second chorus and after that it's pretty bad, especially that cheesy synth ending. The Blackest Day starts meandering too just like Swan Song, which begins so well but goes nowhere and the end is just really lazy with the senseless repetition of 'Put your white tennis shoes on and follow me'. She pronounces some word so weirdly too, idk, I guess this album was driven more by production and music itself rather than the lyrics, sometimes it feels like she just threw the words into the song The album would have benefited a lot if it had been just 8 tracks or so like Paradise was, imho
  8. lbr she's probably going to be talking about Elon Musk and SpaceX again
  9. Salvatore All the lights in Miami begin to gleam whenever you enter the room. You're a hopeless romantic with a vivid imagination, but don't let anyone tell you not to dream. It's much more fun to fantasize about eating soft iced cream with your exotic boyfriend than to be working anyways.
  10. This needed a separate thread?

  13. The article clearly says 'after seeing the 2005 documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston' which means that the documentary was made in 2005, not that she watched it in 2005

    Ride

How desperate can you be
  15. Why are people always saying that she doesn't care about this and that? People's mantra here seems to be that she doesn't care about album sales, and now she apparently doesn't care about awards either any more? Guess all she cares about is going to a ride in California
  16. Lmao at Lana treating herself like someone who has been in the business for 50 years and has the right to retire from touring. Guess she can kiss her career goodbye if she's giving up touring now too
  17. I was introduced to Lana when my friend sent me West Coast. I didn't know much about Lana before that, but I knew she was a pop artist who employed some vintage style in her work. When I heard West Coast I immediately fell in love with it and went and preordered the album without knowing any other songs from her (I had heard Video Games once in 2011 tho) and when I eventually listened to the album it really made me respect her as an artist. I was so in love with the whole album that I didn't feel the need to listen to any of her other music until spring this year. So my whole image and impression of her was based on Ultraviolence. As for now... Ultraviolence had made me think that she was past her pop/hiphop beats music but when I heard Honeymoon I was kind of disappointed and thus now I don't really feel much of anything for her. I still do admire her for Ultraviolence though and some of her other songs (Cola, Dark Paradise, Blue Jeans, Video Games, MTWBT for example)
  18. The pink flamingos footage is so literally placed in the video tho lel
  19. Would you mind elaborating how exactly Lana is similar to Iggy?
