Yeah, got to agree with this. More and more these days Lana gives me the vibe that she's not as passionate about her music any more. She yearned to become a musician and a writer but now that she actually is that, she doesn't seem to care to be at the top of her game. In an interview last year I remember her even talking about how she thought about quitting music. It's kind of a shame that she seems to lack inspiration and passion these days

I really dislike it when Lana uses words like 'freak', 'insane', 'mad', 'crazy' in her lyrics. I hope there will be none of those on her next album. And I hope there will be no singing about a boy/boys either, she's almost 31 and ought to move on. Having Music To Watch Boys To on Honeymoon was pretty cringeworthy tbh

I hope that the fact that Honeymoon was well received by critics means that she's more willing to be controversial again on her next album. Let's face it, Lana saying & singing controversial stuff is 1857% better than her trying to keep it safe. Also this era has been super boring when it comes to visuals, the music videos have been boring and there have hardly been any photoshoots. It's ironic how she said that she didn't make many videos for UV because she didn't see many visuals for that album, but imo there are so many possibilites how to render every song on UV visually, while Honeymoon is seriously lacking in that department

Could it be that Terrence Loves You is meant to be about Arthur Lynn? She references Bowie's Space Oddity in that song and it seems like Arthur Lynn is a fan of Bowie. I'm just assuming because of the 'be my wife' line (Bowie has a song by that name) and on his youtube account he has uploaded a video of Carlos Alomar who played on many Bowie albums

I agree with you. Swan Song, The Blackest Day and Freak all start off so good and sound so promising, but they start meandering and you're waiting for something to happen but before you know it the song is over and nothing exciting happened

I think Lana has been too cautious this era. I know that the controversies she had to struggle with during BTD and UV era were hard for her, but she's been trying to keep everything so safe lately it's stifling her creativity. I believe she still has many beautiful ideas to share with us but she has to let go of her restraints

This forum is such a weird place tbh. People are either praising her to high heavens, saying she's the best singer ever and can do no wrong, or people are bashing her, saying she can't sing/write/perform/whatever It's been 4 years since SNL, who really gives a flying fig any more. I just wish Lana would be more active with her career. Like do anything Lana pls. She hasn't done anything in 3 months
