My opinion;
 
They want her to be successful in her own genre. No one is aiming for #1 on Billboard 100. But she's still a major artist signed under a major label, so of course they want to release things properly and get the best exposure they can. They want the songs + album to reach the audience it's supposed to reach and have some sort of social media presence/impact. And they accepted she is not a fan of heavy promotion, so she keeps things lowkey with interviews, photoshoots, festivals and radio appearances where she is more comfortable.
 
And this video will be relatable and loved by her audience, the bulk of them being Tumblr-style teenagers.

I am almost sure that I will be taken out of context again but,
Let's just say that, from what I've heard so far, she's not going for heavy strings this time around.
If we take Young And In Love as an example (I like that song), the demo is heavy on the strings but the final has lots of drums and sound samples.
I can almost call it a lite, stripped back Born To Die sound. Without the huge hip-hop tempo/beats.
Anyway, I'm not the best when it comes to descriptions so don't quote me on this later.
 
It's nothing like Honeymoon. Not like Ultraviolence too.
 
And from what I've heard, the other track I've heard is an ugly demo and the final is much better.

everytime that I read someone saying those stuff from alternative singers I get kinda pissed off. I mean, those pop singers (of course, not all pop singers, we have some great like Madonna, Lady gaga, etc...) take off the art from music and transform it in a product. I really don't know how ppl don't see how problematic is that. Art shouldn't be a product, art should be a way to the artist portray his reality or a way to escape reality, and that's not what the mainstream artists do.

Honestly I'd be down for a political album. HM was a lovely album but it was so typically Lana. I'd love for her to explore some different themes, and get inside her mind a bit more about the real world. I love how her music acts as an escape but some of her best songs in my opinion, like Old Money, Ride and so on, all came from very real experiences and feelings, and I'd totally love for her to channel that into political songs, if they're written carefully.
 
And when I say political songs, I don't mean songs that literally reference politics or political figures or policies or anything. Lana has a way with creating vibrant stories of suffering and desperation, I think she would be able to create some songs that are from the perspectives of different people, or highlight different issues or ideas without being explicitly political, if that makes sense. It's possible to make political songs without spelling out that it's a political song.
 
I could so see her doing a song with some sort of JFK lyric.
 
Either way I'm excited to see what she's got in store with this next album. If her Instagram posts are an indication of anything, I don't think it'd be too far off to wonder if she's going to make a political album. After all, Eclipse did say that the lyrics on the songs he's heard are very "different" to what she's done before, so anything's possible, right? It'd be a bit unusual for Lana to do something like this but at the same time, it has been odd how she has taken so much longer to create and release material from this new album compared to her last ones. Perhaps she's trying something new out and wants it to be perfect and that's why she's taking her time? Who knows? At this point in her career she needs to do something fresh and even groundbreaking otherwise she is going to lose so so many more fans that she already lost with the HM era. I know that Lana's pretty relaxed and doesn't want to be all over the place like Taylucifer Swift but I'm sure that she at least cares about keeping the fans she already has. 

Really happy to see her posting about all this stuff, political album or not these things obviously make her soul vibrate and we all know it's what she needs to create good music. I'm sure the energy she's putting in this is going to stand out in any way. Even if it's just one more interview. I'm fine with that, I just love to see her active

"Lolita"

 

The second bonus track on Born to Die is Lana's most playful song. Full of classic Del Rey imagery and suggestive lyrics, "Lolita" was written and composed by Lana, Liam Howe and Hannah Robinson and solely produced by Emile Haynie. The album version features heavy, repetitive beats, overdramatic orchestration and multiple sound effects; the demos, however, are quite different.

what? She scrapped an album after the leak and she was pissed af. I mean, she wrote uv after, but I think that it was luck.

Nothing happened? She scrapped her entire album and started over. Black Beauty was supposed to be a single.
