Ok, so, I'm listening it for the third time cause I need to understand if I like this.
Well, I prefer the last part of the song, like, from the bridge to the end. I think she makes her voice even more heavenly than before, maybe it's an impression caused by the instrumental, she's almost singing without music in some parts and I don't really like it... But anyway, I quite like Honeymoon but I don't think I would ever literally FALL IN LOVE with this song like I did with Ride, Carmen, Old Money and others

Don't make fun of me, you know what I'm talking about. It's the same kind of military drums (which I heavily associate with VG)
There are violets in your eyes = and my jazz collection's rare (but this is probably me, the same way I sorta recognized the SS melody when I first heard Brooklyn Baby)

And please don't act like 15 year olds, we're better than that, aren't we? If somebody doesn't like the song leave them alone. Being a Lana fan doesn't mean automatically liking every single thing she puts out. Still, it's unrespectful to call it 'shit' no matter how awful you think it is, so that's to be kept in mind as well.

I love this. This sounds Lynchian and beautiful. I know I'm too hyped and everything but it shits all over UV (the track) and pretty much the whole album
Her voice is steady and on point, the BTD dramatic strings are BACK ("Mr. Born to Lose" gave me feels too  )

It's less repetitive sounding then I thought it would be, but the rest of the album needs to have songs that are even less repetitive than this

After listening to it for like 10 times in a row:

it's beautiful but definitely too slow  I was expecting the 'We could cruise to the blues...' part to be more cheerful (it's kinda depressing) Harmonies and instrumental on point, giving me that 60's Italian movie vibe  Don't like the bridge (not here for recycling Video Games' drums and that Brooklyn Baby melody The outro is the best thing of the song, giving me Great Gig in the Sky vibes, fantastic

I'M OFF THE INTERNET FOR ONE HOUR AND THIS HAPPENS OMFG

It would be a perfect opening track. The bridge insturmentation sounds really Y+B cos of the drums. I really like the song, hope the album has some faster and more rhythmic songs though

The song is better than the preview lead us to believe, that's for sure. It has an unique atmosphere and her voice is building a desperate climax of the song. Everything works for me but I still need a song with a very distinct melody, that's what I'm looking for next single.

Also the fact she posted on her personal account means this could be a buzz single just like Video Games and then MTWBT is the real first single with a huge video.

I could see myself falling asleep to this......which I promise is not an insult

The bridge and ending are giving me absolute life. This & Marina's Blue music video teaser are fucking slaying my existence right now

Sleepy, but beautiful. (Though that is perhaps her laziest DIY style video.)

The tone and timbre of her voice have always been the biggest draw for me. I could probably listen to an entire album of Lana Mmmm-ing and scatting.

Since I listen to Lana, I've changed, I've decided to be who I want and not who the other people want me to. It's a complicate thing to explain (especially without knowing english ). However, she inspired me to live the life like I want and now I'm proud of me, of the person I am and of the person I want to become in future; thanks to Lana I believe in myself and in my ideas

Lana is not a legend or something lol, it's not like her career has such a peak that everyone will remember her in 50 years, she needs to keep promoting her music to reach more public.

Welcome to LANALYSIS, where we get real unhealthy in our obsessions and absolutely revel in it.

This is a project I've been maintaining for a while now--Lana + Analysis...get it? The basic purpose is to relate every one of her songs (that's right, every last one of them) to her known and assumed relationships. Not a stone is left unturned. Privacy is violated. The fans rejoice. Mind you, it’s all pure speculation, but ~this is what makes us stans~

It’s pretty long but an interesting read, if I do say so myself. I hope you enjoy it in all it’s updated glory, and I will continue to update as new information is revealed and new songs come out. I will also be adding pictures, sources, etc. Stay tuned!

    Let’s get started!

    EARLY RELATIONSHIPS (1985 - ~2005)

    LOCAL ROCKSTARS (~2005 - 2009)

YOU MADE ME NICE FOR A WHILE (2009 - 2011)

    POST-BREAKTHROUGH (2011+)

    IN THE LAND OF DISCREPANCIES

    ADVANCED LANALYSIS

    IN SUMMARY..

    Lingering questions…
    - Who the fuck is K?
    - Who the fuck is Ray?
    - Who the fuck is Bill? Is Bill really K? Does Bill matter at all?
    - What significance do cars play? She mentions eight in total (white Corvette, white Pontiac, blue Chevy Nova/Chevrolet, Cadillac convertible, Mercedes, pickup truck, Lamborghini, Bugatti Veyron)
    - When was she/who was she with in New York City and New Jersey? Ditto LA? Most mysterious and pressing, her time in the South?
    - Did she have a fling with Bradley Soileau?
    - Did Chris C. matter enough to her for her to write songs about him?

    Assumptions Made:
    - Lana was a gogo dancer.
    - K is a drug dealer/murderer, dead or on death row.
    - Jimmy is her ex-fiancé, addicted to cocaine despite a Wikipedia page stressing how healthy he is, associated with Chevrolets.
    - Much of Sirens is about completely different relationships.
    - She fucked Bradley.
    - Mike controlled her career but their relationship wasn’t associated with anything fucked up like drugs or stripping.

Thanks for reading! I crave both your feedback and theories! This remains a forum collaboration and I don't claim to have the final say on Lanalytical manners.

For the sake of believability, I'm always hunting receipts, and currently:
    - The interview where she refers to "Yayo" as the prequel to "Video Games"
    - The interview where she describes "Video Games" as dealing with mutual sobriety in a relationship--her and her partner both staying clean.
    - The interview where she talks about meeting her boyfriend in rehab and being dazzled by his small-scale celebrity.

I hope she is getting back to the way she was during the BTD era, in that she cared about everything, especially her looks. So far, it looks like its going that way with her Honeymoon instagram account, so lets hope she keeps it up. I'm just hoping for some high budget videos like the BTD videos and some promo too.
